Have you tried downloading the Pixel checker app?
Do a search on these forums there's alink to some software that you can run that will test your pixels.

You can also try rubbing the dead pixel (very gently), this worked for me.
 
The programme won't quit when you close the window because that is all you are doing, literally closing the window. To quit, you need to either quit from the menu bar or press apple-Q (command-Q to be technically correct).

As for your music, iTunes won't play .wma's but it'll do .mp3's just fine.

Command+Q will quit your programs. You can see the shortcuts for various menu actions to the right of the action. That's confusing, eh?

How common are these dead pixels on the 20"?

EDIT: Guess I need to read closer.. :) Somebody beat me to it.
