I sold mine for $1500 and Peloton was actually kind enough to refund me the extended warranty I paid for sooooo.. 🙃Have fun when they ask you about transferring the warranty.

And who am I to argue with your baseless guesses or assumptions?

May work where you live, but up here in Canada we have this phenomenon called weather. Winter can be brutal. I feel ways safer on my Peloton than outside.
Love the outdoors, but for those of us in harsher climates, the Peloton is a great experience. The social part plus coaching is great as well.
I'm guessing you've never actually used one. The iPad in the scenario you're describing wouldn't keep track of your cadence and resistance, wouldn't let you compete with others on the leaderboard, etc. It might be fine for many people, but it wouldn't do what Peloton's bike does.
Yes, I know but honestly, unless you are a serious rider that uses it ALL THE TIME, it's hard to justify the cost. I have an old JohnnyG spinner and the iPad set up works for me. No subscription and the old bike cost me $400 a few years back. Hard to beat that. I would consider buying the app subscription (not the bike) if it was more affordable. It’s not the same experience. You won’t understand it until you actually ride a Peloton bike and compare.
Look at the post above. MR screwed the multi-quote function. I wasn't replying to you.what was the point of quoting me only to edit and leave 1 character? Am I missing something?
EDIT: screenshot of my M.R. notification of a quote.
It's amazing how bad they are at this. They are rebating people who bought a bike within 30 days of the price drop. My wife bought one just outside that period, and they won't offer anything but the $700 towards a new bike if we turn in the just-bought $2295 bike. It should be like a car, with less mileage getting a better trade-in. Or, at least a graduated rebate for recent purchases, or a credit towards the monthly fee. As it is, they've got a ton of people who bought bikes recently due to the pandemic that are now all angry. You're right. I think ours was like $2295. I have sub-total for the Essentials Package at $2404, -100 Promo, +190.08 tax for a grand total of $2494.08. I wouldn't mind paying a few hundred bucks more for a trade-in of some sort, but I guess I'll have to e-mail them and see what my options are.

Exactly. So it sounds like it's $700 or nothing based on what you said, regardless of whether or not the bike was purchased 2 weeks ago or 2 years ago, so I guess I won't even bother dealing with them. It's amazing how bad they are at this.
