My phone is still preparing for shipment.. 11/3 is tomorrow, is it still coming from China? I doubt it, probably gonna come local from US stock. Has anyone experienced this late shipping from China and delivery overnight?

How did you make your phone delivery change? Let out the secret

I’ve given thought to calling about this issue as well. I was supposed to have in-store pick up on November 3 but once the reservation email completed it and said it was shipping with a 2 to 3 week delay and the late November delivery date

I just don’t understand how they go from in-store pick up on November 3 to telling you that it’s now shipping at a later date.

I’m frustrated but I don’t know if I want to spend the time and aggravation dealing with Apple support

11/3 is showing as your delivery date? If so, UPS is actually able to get it to you within 24 hours.

Wow

I am still to see change in dates. Still at 5-6 weeks. The guy from Austin confirmed it was a system glitch at citizen side and post that confirmation he needs to place me in appropriate place in queue. Hoping to see some change tomorrow

Good luck! I hope the same expedition happens for you since they are acknowledging the same Citizens One IUP enrollment glitch I experienced also. When I called Citizens they acknowledged it too but told me Apple controls those servers. I'm sure servers are involved on both sides and one side didn't play ball for a brief instant with the other. You and I were probably ordering in this very brief window of failure.

Mine has shipped and is eta 11/3. It left Anchorage this morning. I did contact Tim Cook Wednesday and they saw my message early enough to snag me a spot in a release day shipment. I wouldn't be surprised if Apple intentionally has unspoken for pallets of iPhones in with their first manifests for cases like ours where they can assign an owner to domestically-received stock.

I am not so lucky man. Some man named Keegan contacted me on Tuesday and made me cancel earlier 11/17-24 window order and placed new Iup order now at 12/13-12/20 window

No update since then. For sure no release day phone but what may happen is no November phone too.

Sent out another email to Cook about this experience. Not expecting anything to happen.

Hi email address is publicly available with a quick google search. He's been known to respond to emails directly from the public. In my case one of his assistants took interest in my case and made magic happen. It probably helps I live close to one of the largest UPS hubs in the country and Apple has a ton of shipments all going to this hub to get to the east coast and middle America.

Nobody from Apple has called me back yet. I really should've answered that call.

And how is it possible for someone call and mess up their extension number when leaving callback info?

Just seems unfortunate, I suppose.

Tomorrow is the day! I plan on checking some inventory.. see if there's some stock available. Judging from the 3-4 week update for shipment.. there might be a chance to grab one by next weekend, if I can't land one tomorrow.

I still have my Note8, I plan on doing some serious comparison between the two. As much as I want the iPhone X, I can't ignore the fact I got this Note8 for 750 whereas I'll be paying 1k for the iPhone X.

The Note8 is a solid phone.. but can't wait to check out the iPhone X though.

My delivery was just bumped up from 5-6 weeks to 3-4 weeks (Delivers 01 Dec, 2017 - 08 Dec, 2017). Nobody from Apple spoke to me or emailed me about it, so I think it's just like what Macrumors just posted about.

It's possible they don't want you to call back. I was given a 5 digit extension number that didn't work. Nobody could explain that. When a senior CS called and emailed me, his extension is 8 digits. I never tried to see if it would work, he called me with bad news before I could call him.

I just reserved my iPhone at Target.

Entered in all my carrier info and it let me complete the order, I have my email confirmation that it needs to be picked up by 11 pm today. Pretty awesome!

I was able to just walk in to a Target and pick up a 64 GB space gray! It's not the 256 GB I wanted but it'll do. Finally!

None of targets around me had any stock per the online inventory.
Still sad that I had  in-Store pickup on my order but it got changed to shipping in 2-3 weeks.

You’ll get one soon enough... at least by next weekend. I honestly think that stock will improve and this illusion of shortages are hype driven by Apple.

Don’t get me wrong... the demand is strong, but I think that it’s not as bad as we thought it would be. But at this point, I would not* look for the X at 3rd party retailers... Apple is primarily looking to stock at their own stores.

Perhaps by Tuesday or Wednesday.. you’ll see stock, if there’s no stock this weekend.

Thx for the positive outlook.
