Someone from Apple finally called and left a voicemail for me earlier today and left a callback number and extension (866-254-8313 x42798), but the extension is invalid so there's no way for me to actually call that person back.

C'mon Apple.

How’d you get a call from Apple? Did you send them an email? Maaaaaaaaaaaan... if you actually get your shipment bumped.... I’ll be really happy for you!

That might push me to go ahead and actually try for an iPhone X this Friday, instead of sitting it out... but I’ll have to return this Note8 though.

I must've asked to be escalated to a manager 4 times while chatting and on the phone since Friday and someone finally called me back, but I was in a meeting to it went to voicemail. There's nothing I can do with that voicemail though, since the extension is invalid. I basically just have a voicemail of someone from Apple asking me to call them back at a number that doesn't work.

Got this when trying to order and eventually they said they couldn't verify my card and I had to reorder. Used the same exact card and it went through. I had this happen for both phones I ordered eventually then got reservations that I couldnt process until after 2pm.

Thanks! Ya never know. If he sees it or one of his response team it may help them improve their ordering process programming. I used my wife's iPhone with her Apple Store app (after she successfully placed a preorder minutes before). A possibility is that her AppleID somehow caught a gotcha in the order process when I attempted to apply for IUP with my own information in the preorder process. It might be something Apple developers hadn't tested\considering someone to try. I'd love to reclaim the instore 11/3 pickup, as opposed to be stuck with 12/11-12/18. If it's impossible to anything immediately I would be fine if it were before vacation on 11/19, but it feels like wishful thinking at this point. On the plus side at least my wife got hers for 11/3. If the situation were reversed it would be a much worse experience (for me). LOL
Got a call from executive relations team guy from Austin, TX after I emailed Cook. He made me cancel the ATT next order and had me place a new IUP order slated for 12/13-12/20 delivery.

He is now talking to citizen one bank to confirm whether issue was with my credit (it was not) or with some backend. Based on that response from bank he said he would place me in appropriate queue. Repeatedly he mentioned the issue has highest attention from management.

Hoping to see some logical conclusion tomorrow.

It seems like you’re getting the “red carpet treatment.” Please let us know how this ends for you.

Hey me too! I took my toddler out trick or treating and just noticed the voicemail. I had left my phone number and detailed experience in the email. She said good news and they had bumped my order up to 11/3 shipment (WOW!). She wants me to call her back. It's kind of late right now for Austin so I'll touch base tomorrow.

I had the same message from Citizen One at ordering also and I kind of think they want to try to figure out what happened to cause that glitch to prevent it in the future. I'm really shocked at the call and email she sent too.

How much long did it take from you emailing Tim to change of shipping date?

I wonder if this "red carpet treatment" is only for people who had issues with Apple's iPhone Upgrade Program and not for those of us with the AT&T Next reservation issue.

I wouldn’t be surprised, but then again... you did get a call, I’m sure if you had spoken with them... they would of bumped your order.

It does seem like IUP participants are the select few. I experienced a hiccup with preordering and using AT&T Next, but the reservation ended up working as intended.

Email sent 1:47pm
Voicemail Apple left me at 5:07 pm
Email from Kim @Apple ensuring I got her VM at 5:13 pm
I didn't notice til about 9:24pm that all that correspondence happened and I immediately looked at my order and saw the date (which Kim mentioned in her voicemail message to me)

Maybe. I’m going to take a break from this thread for a bit and hope Apple calls back tomorrow.

In other news, my wife's X has left China and will be delivered on Friday. So at least there's that.

Well, that’s good news!

As for me... I’m going to go ahead and take the Note8 back. I bought it prematurely, I have the iPhone X in the back of my thoughts.

Majority of my family and friends have iPhones and they are puzzled by the green bubbles of my messages. So, I guess I’ll wait it out and see what comes of Friday. Perhaps, with all this demand for the X... Apple ramps up production.

I just spoke to Ladarius at 1-800-my-apple, about people like me who had reservations given to them within 10 minutes of pre-orders opening, which said a phone was being held for them, but then got bumped from 11/3 pickup to 2-6 week later delivery dates.

I told him I saw that many people were calling Apple about their reservation time and phone ETA at the time of reservation, and then getting their delivery date moved to 11/3 or getting Air Pods or Wireless chargers as compensation, and he says it is not true.

He said "they are lying" and "you can't trust everything you read online". I said, "what, multiple people posted that they got bumped up or got swag just to get a rise out of people?” and he said yes and and that I can quote him. He can't do anything for me.

What a dumba## - either his superiors are lying to him, or he is a very good liar when he says that he nor anyone he knows has the authority to do those things. His supervisor is going to call me in 24-48 hours. I don't expect a call.

But just in case, If the people who had trouble ordering, and got a later delivery date than promised at the time of order, posted that they were moved to 11/3 based on the phone call (a redacted email for example) or were promised rewards for their trouble could post proof that this really happened, I would appreciate having the ammo to fight back with when/if I get called.

In my case, the store finally opened in the iPhone App at 1:03AM mtn time, and I got multiple errors while trying to pay full price for a 256GB ATT phone after I got to the "enter phone number" step, where I screenshot one of the errors at 1:07AM, before getting a screenshot of my reservation at 1:12AM.

The reservation clearly said they were holding a phone for me at 1:12AM and yet many people who ordered after me posted that they were bumped up to 11/3 or got a reward for their delay, after they called.

The guy is bull crap. Speak to the senior adviser

I posted that I asked for the supervisor and he said they're all returning calls now, and he'd schedule a call back. I asked when will they call and he said their calling many people and it could be 24/48 hours. I asked again to be transferred and he said it's not possible, they're all busy and will call me back.

There are dozens of people here who got their reservation after me and have an 11/3 deliver/pickup or got their moved 1-3 weeks sooner to 11/3 after making a call. I'm in Mtn time, and store opened at 1:03, and after 9 minutes of repeated errors after entering my phone number I was promised they held a phone for me, but they didn't save my 11/3 date.

Wow

I am still to see change in dates. Still at 5-6 weeks. The guy from Austin confirmed it was a system glitch at citizen side and post that confirmation he needs to place me in appropriate place in queue. Hoping to see some change tomorrow
