Do people not realize that Apple completely rewrote iOS in a few months? Give them a break

Who really asked them to do that?

If what you say is true...then we are all beta testers which is not cool.

----------

Oh please, why don't you give 'people' a break.

I like it, but only after an initial shock in the eye sockets. Eventually, you grow used to (for whatever reason, and I'm actually afraid to speculate )

Functionally it's fine but there are some awfuly strange graphics.

Like the Calendar? It's like they overcompensated away from the skew crap to the point where there is nothing but empty space, so if your schedule is uneventful it's very lonely... out there in space

But it's just colors so you get used to it pretty quick if you are forced to stare at it like I am :)

Let not give Apple any credit. The IOS colors are as bad as they 5C color choices.....AWFUL

No one should have to get used to anything.

----------

I'm sorry, but how is a phone that costs the same as Android flagships but with better build quality, support, and longetivity expensive? The iPhone is honestly the cheapest Apple product, just consider all it's aspects.

Nobody forced someone to click update. They shouldn't have done so. Yes there are annoyances in iOS7 but people forget how horrible iOS 6 and 5 were.

Finally, I don't think you know what a beta tester is or how an OS cannot be perfect.

So you agree, Apple has a track record of releasing really crappy OS's...

I am not interested in testing their OS yet again.

----------

For me this statement sums it up:

If you are here singing the praises of IOS 7....you are not an average joe user.

A large majority of the average joes...HATE IOS 7.

It sounds as if you're assuming the people who complained about iOS 6's design also complained about iOS 7's. Have you ever thought that maybe these people are actually different people? Sure, some overlap but most are completely different individuals.

Also, what's wrong with noticing problems in both iOS 6 and 7? Apple definitely saw problems with iOS 6 considering iOS 7 was developed. They also see problems with iOS 7 considering iOS 8 is being developed. My point is:

1. No software is ever perfect (finished).
2. There will never be one thing that pleases everyone.
3. Sometimes things have pros and cons.
4. The cons are usually more significant considering we are a species that thrives for perfection and usually take the pros for granted.

So he's lying about his battery life because "the Apple fanboy reviewers" (whoemver they are) said otherwise?

If you read zedzded's post you'd see that it started with "You're probably in the minority.". Zed never questioned alexxmac's comment. He/she simply explained that if fanboys have an issue, then there probably is an issue. At least for some.

I have my iMac on and iphone on doing multiple things everyday.
I would bet any amount of money that multi window will come to ipad in the near future. Apple just doesn't want to be called a follower because Samsung did it first. Apple is working on it and they are trying to figure out a way to make it better than samsung's.

It's true that people can't concentrate on multiple things at once. But there are uses for multiple windows open and currently running. Research, copy/paste from one app to another, comparisons, etc. Just being able to keep my ewallet open and visible while buying something online would be a real boon.

I have no disagreement with your post above.

I was just commenting on the post that I quoted regarding multi tasking.:D

of course you can't focus on two things at time, but it does't mean multi-windows not useful. It is useful when you need, for example, you looking at a shopping site, fond product you like, looked at the price and you want calculate the after tax price.

In iOS, you need either remember the price or copy the price, then go back to springboard, open calculator, calculate the price, then go back to Safari to buy stuff.

With multi-window in Note 3 or other, all you need to do is use S-pen, draw a small box and tap calculator. You are done by this point. This is much more efficient way to multitasking than switching app around all the time.

Apparently you seem to be stuck in iPhone OS 3 era. There is a new multitasking view, control centre, and the multitasking view.

WTF? Have you ever seen multiple-window solution on Galaxy S4, Note 3 or ever seen flogging widgets on Sony Xperia phone?

The new multitasking view is noting but fancy version of old one, control centre good but doesn't really help on multitasking...

I actually find IOS 7 great. Haven't had a single issue with it. I ran the beta and now the full version and still all good.

People complained how iOS 6 was simple, boring, horrible multitasking.

Now people are complaining about battery in iOS 7? Really? It will use more battery!!! Full multitasking, transparency, others. Okay maybe Apple can fix a little of the battery drain but what do you expect?

What would you like? iOS 6 or 7?
There are different people you know--some that actually liked or at least didn't have any issues with iOS 6 and prior iOS design. There are even some that did want a change, but not necessarily the type that iOS 7 brought with it--after all, wanting something different doesn't mean you would be more than happy with anything different. That's not how it works in real life with anything at all.

Understanding all of that, which, again, applies to pretty much anything and everything in life, it's not only not unexpected that there would be many that would dislike something that changed, but it's pretty much a given (especially if the change, in the overall sense, isn't really seen as an obvious improvement, and can be considered more of a change for the sake of changing).

You know Apple did a good job with a new iOS when the majority of the complaints are about color palettes and too much "white". Those of us who work for software companies do appreciate how quickly they did something like this. It is not easy.

Got galaxy note3. I'm having a lot of fun with it. My first Android phone. There is so much customization you can do. There isa setting menu for everything!

My parents would not be able to operate this as easily as they do their ipads.

Android and iOS are very different and each has its own advantages. Technology is advancing and I love it! (Of course except for iOS 7) :) I should Thank iOS 7 for giving me a motivation to explore Android side of the tech world.

And people complain about iOS 7 for nothing…. It doesn't only do all the wonderful things it says, but it allows you to go and explore other OS's. How cool is that ??

I really like iOS 7, its a excellent update, and gives iOS a totally fresh new look too. I find the battery life excellent too on my 5s.

cant sync

I just updated to IO7 not only the battery life Very short i cant sync my music or my docs. Now i don't know is it me or the I07 . if any one can help me here i would really appreciate it.

I was happy with iOS 6. A little less so with iOS 7, but I'm open to that improving. I don't think a complete UI was necessary, but Apple did and I trusted them.... and......and I.....and I think....sob....I think I will survive...sob....this severe betrayal of my trust. I need a hug.....

Since the 5s is my first iPhone i have no problems with iOS 7, I've no doubt Apple with address the bugs people are suffering with updates so can only get better in time.

iOS 7 is a major improvement in my opinion. I love that it looks and functions like a jailbroken device.
