Here's Apple's response to those who actually DESERVE Snow Leopard TODAY who bought a new Mac since announcement of Up To Date... F@CK YOU and your $10!
I get an email today saying my SL disk went out via Postal Mail today. And everyone that ordered SL for $29 GOT IT TODAY.
So screw ME who paid $2k for a new computer!!! And praise to the person that spent $29 for SL.
How wrong is this??? I am really sick of Apple's *****! It never ends... FU if we already have your money! FU if you spent $2k. FU FU FU...
I hope Apple's sales DROP. I hope SL is a flop. I hope Apple loses money next year. Then it will be forced to start giving a crap about its customers again. It didn't used to be this way. Apple now has an FU attitude from sales, to support, to shipping products, to etc. They just don't care if they already got my money...
I hope Windows 7 rebounds Microsoft and makes Apple need to compete! Honestly, this situation has gotten this bad because Apple is arrogant and cocky! It has too much money, and too many fanboys like ME!
I am really frustrated with Apple. I think its build quality has gone to crap. I think its customer service is worse than EVER. I think it's going to take some failures and downturn for Apple for it to realize how wrong it has been treating its core customers!
UTD SL copies should have been NUMBER ONE PRIORITY! We should have got them before available in the store! This is really shame on Apple...

Guess what buddy, the people who payed $29 dollars for a SL also payed 2k or whatever for the system they are installing it on. Matter of fact, us, UTD buyers payed almost $20 dollars less to upgrade and by your "logic" they are more "deserving" Your whole sense of entitlement is that of an egocentric infant.
And talk about throwing the baby out with the bathwater. You want an OS which you are going to allegedly use to fail? Thats like me saying i hope my doctor fails during my heart surgery just because he performed it a day later then i wanted him or her to, despite him or her having no obligation to do so.
I have no idea why you feel microsoft needs to rebound.... they still hold something like 90% of the market share.... but hey i use both windows and OS X so i hope they both continue to improve as they are both far from perfect. As for the twos respective customer service, ill take apple customer service over microsoft anyday.
It's a matter of principle! Actually, I got a FedEx package with Snow Leopard TODAY! AND I was originally confused, but my Mom had known it was coming out and pre-ordered it for me as a gift for giving her a new computer.
But the point is Apple should have thought enough of its customers who bought $1000 plus systems (in my case $2000) and promised them SL. It doesn't matter that they didn't promise UTD customers they would receive it today... it's a matter of principle, Apple gets its money and forgets about you. Apple can get $29 from someone else and treats them like royalty!

And Snow Leopard is somewhat of a joke too... no default 64-bit kernel! No drivers for people that bought Macs within the last three years that are 64-bit capable! It's an all around attitude of arrogance and disrespect for money already spent. More than that, it's a decision meant to try to get MORE SALES! I believe Apple priced it at $29 to entice people to get it then realize they couldn't get 64-bit kernel and would decide to upgrade to a new model Mac. I really believe that is why they did this with both the drivers and kernel! Look at all the people complaining or wondering why their Mac will not boot into 64-bit kernel! It doesn't matter that the apps are 64-bit...
Windows 7 is better in 64-bit than SNOW LEOPARD! I am an Apple fanboy, but honestly I see Windows 7 running in 64-bit on these same Macs, when people cannot get SL to run true 64-bit... that's WRONG!
This whole thing has been a big disappointment to me. It doesn't matter that I am happy with my Mac, as I am disappointed with the company I trusted. Again and again Apple fails us all! And we keep puting up with it!
This post explained so much. You didnt spend 2k on your computer, your mom did.... you are the spoiled brat i thought you were. I dont know why you feel the 2k you spent on your system is somehow more deserving of an update than those who spent 2k on their system prior to the UTD program and were forced to pay $29.
You seem to have an affinity for windows and i dont blame you, its a great OS and if you are truly that unhappy with apple and SL, why not just stop moaning and complaining and use windows, im sure Apple is not a gang and thus its not "blood in and blood out."
