What happened to us during the 4 and 4s launches is we had many employees miss the initial order (thanks Premier website!) but end up getting phones on launch day anyway.

My company rep explained that our ATT rep set aside an allotment for us based on our usual high demand.

This time around ATT queried us a few days prior to preorder asking how many we anticipated needing on launch day.

Off topic but didn't want to make a new thread. Im currently eligible for FAN discount. I want to order the 5 next month once Bestbuy or Walmart have it in stock. I have credit from BBY that's why I want to order from them and they also have some promo for rewards members.Walmart is my other option since they will actually only charge you tax for what you pay and not the $649. My question is can I call AT&T after I get my phone to apply my FAN discount?
 
So just an FYI if anyone is wondering. If you had to use the premier site to order. You can get a little more info of you order by using the "home" order status check.

One thing that I am pretty irritated about (I mean a lot of things but eh). Even though I was up at 12:01 when the site went down. And ordered as soon as I could when the site went up (about 8am AKST). My order didn't actually get put in till Sunday. The premier order status site shows when I ordered it. But the "home" site says other wise.

All I can assume is with the premier site, someone at AT&T has to manually submit the order. I am debating if I should call AT&T and give them a piece of my mind, but I honestly don't think it will get me anywhere.

All I can assume is with the premier site, someone at AT&T has to manually submit the order. I am debating if I should call AT&T and give them a piece of my mind, but I honestly don't think it will get me anywhere.

Where exactly do we check that? The only order status I can see is the link in the order confirmation email which isn't even through premier. Maybe that's because I order through the phone?
 
Got ya. I got a link to the "premier" order status page when I ordered. What info does yours show when looking up the status? Does it show back ordered etc....?
 
I mean i called premier support and ordered through them. I wasn't able to use the site.

I seem to remember someone posted in a thread that while ordering their iPhone via phone with the Premier site that the AT&T Rep told them they were going to have to manually enter in the orders since their system went down? Perhaps this explains why some people have a later order date?

Does anyone else remember this?

I ordered via the regular AT&T website on my iPad. Because I have a FAN discount, my order confirmation came from Premier, but I'm not a typical Premier customer (i.e., I can log into the normal site.)

So I'm never sure what group I'm in with these pre-orders. I ordered at 8:30 a.m. EST which is well within the cutoff of 9:30.
 
I was wondering if buying from an Apple retail BRICK & MORTAR store would affect me buying a phone? I am eligible for an upgrade but I want to buy unsubsidized on Verizon so I keep my Unlimited Data Plan...anyone? Thanks.

I remember someone mentioning that, yes. When I was on the phone though, the rep was entering my info into a computer. The way she was talking, it seemed like she wasn't just taking notes. It seemed like things were working fine.

I don't know. Either way I'm just glad I got an order in at all. Ill be patient.

CC charged and it looks as if I can loate my order via the ups reference number trick.

Not sure though as I ordered apple cables on the same day (and do not yet have tracking for them)

Did you order through Apple? Is that why you can see your tracking info?

I ordered through Premier and my black 32gb iphone was marked as shipped this morning. They haven't provided a tracking number yet but I'm confident I'll have it in my hands on friday.
 
i ordered mine in store, on the reciept there is an order ID: "531" seems too short to work in the order status box, and it doesnt i checked lol...how do i see the status of my order then?

My order also went through Premier. The irony is I've never heard of Premier. I receive a 15% discount through work yet when I contacted AT&T they said log onto the Premier site which I tried and it doesn't recognize my number. I ordered a white iPhone 5 32gb at 11:45am on 9/14 yet Premier says I ordered it on 9/17 (I've read what may have happened on this thread) yet my CC charge is pending showing to be released tomorrow. I still show 1 for backorder. No idea when it's going to ship based on this.
 
ordered in store because my premier online account doesnt work as soon as they opened, about 9:15 EST. two black 32's. shipped today, out for delivery tomorrow....woot.

Me too... they punish you for spending more than normal ATT customers. I am so frustrated with premier, never asked to be on here!

I ordered the morning of, and mine doesn't say shipped yet. I too wasted an evening trying to preorder on att.com or apple.com and had to wait for premier's buggy @ss site to get the phone set up.
