How do you backup and restore your note 2? You rebought all of your apps for android? What are you using instead of Photostream, iWork, iCloud, Garageband, iPhoto, Find my phone, Find my Friends, etc. etc.

What 'features' does android have that you don't? Here's one that you have that Android doesn't. BACKUP and RESTORE! I call that a BIG one!
 
I am an Android fan, and though I do believe that the flagship Android phones are way ahead of iOS, and the experience of using stock Android is superior, the end user will get a cheap Android phone running an old version of Android, sometimes vastly inferior to the latest iOS.
This being said, the end user (I've found) doesn't use half the features of their phones, whether it be on iOS or Android. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SMS, etc. will both run very smoothly on whatever operating system. So in the end it's really up to personal preference for the end user.

and im sure most ppl care what OS # they use ... or fragmentation, which is just an excuse for devs to cry over

i met people that own android but dont even know it.

i dont use any of those minus the iCloud for contacts, calendar and backups and im on my 5th iPhone and 3rd iPad

I'm running iOS 5.1.1 on my two iPads and iPhone because Apple broke Maps and removed YouTube on 6.

Bashing the competition is a loser's game. Just improve iOS and the next iPhone. It would be nice if Apple could surprise people again.

Similar, yes. Same? I think not.
Besides, it's not broken... why try and fix it?
The only thing I wish to change in springboard is native support for freely placing apps anywhere on the page. I could understand if they chose to force the apps to line up from left-right top-bottom because of aesthetics but a little freedom in that department would be nice with an on/off switch in the settings app. Then again, Apple is not one to offer many choices to its consumers and Steve made that very clear.
 
It's an embarrassment that they can't come up with more convincing ideas to fight Android than some bland marketing statement.

This is nothing but whining.
Well, man up and release some decent stuff. So people will DEMAND an iPhone and won't put up with a free replacement. Easy as that.

Also I'd like to point out that the seamless integration is worth zilch when the product is buggy as hell and causes major problems (iOS 6 and Apple Maps, I'm talking to you!). I don't care if the reason is hardware, software or the combination of both. I just want this thing to work!

You must be trolling right? I mean who wouldn't update because of this? There is a Google maps option that is waaaaaay better than the 5.x maps and I don't think anyone really misses the YT app that much, you can still watch YT fine on 6.x BTW.

You can add iMessage to that list.

Also, for those who like all their devices to be integrated with their Mac, iCloud is pretty indispensable.
 
Having been an iPhone user since the original to the iphone 4and changing to an S3 about 4 months ago both are good operating system with there pros and cons. Depends what matter more to you. If apple wants to hit it out of the park for my user esperience they simply have to open up and let me save whatever file type I want to my phone and let me share whatever file type I want with any type of app. That with the form factor, simple user interface, integration with itunes and icloud as a mac owner will pull me back over.

A refresh of ios and a little more customization options wouldn't hurt (would love to see winterboard and apps in the app store) and other cool tweaks.

They need to give more freedom and make the iphone fun again IMHO.

If they do I'll be back. Though the form factor of the new htc one definitely interests me since its kind of iphoneish.

You can also download a much-improved YouTube app.

Terrible reasons not to upgrade.

In other words I'm a student, and when I say that I need is because I don't have a choice. Either that or I fail that class in particular.
I do have an iPad and a few macs and I could care less about android that's why I a bought a cheap phone.

Edit: for my main phone I use a windows phone, it's simple and I get 4 days of battery life of it.
