Here is a picture I took earlier today when I went to the park for a run. Most of the trail has a lot of tree cover, which is great during the warmer summer months. At this point, though, it is like you are leaving the shadow and going into the light. [EDIT: the word "to" has a "t" and an "o"]

More clouds - I saw this yesterday before I started my run and I liked how the clouds looked and there was what looked like a jet stream (I think that is the word I am looking for).

It looks like they may be birds (seagulls or something similar?) on the beach in the previous picture. With that in mind, here are some geese I saw in the creek that I run along at the park:

Couple years ago I was in the parking lot behind McDonalds, which borders a creek. I sat and watched the momma and poppa geese and their family of about 6 or 8 little ones waddle down the parking lot to the end, then started to cross a busy street. A good samaritan stopped the traffic and waited for them all to cross the road. Didn't see where they went after that, hopefully back into the creek or they went shopping in one of the stores!
