I hate all of you who want a bigger iPhone. Apple is just giving the customer what it wants and it seems everyone wants a bigger phone these days and I hate you all. I like being able to put mine in my pocket. You all can suck it! Suck it hard!

Here's a hanky for you to cry on. Seriously. Who cares if iPhone gets a bigger screen? It's a given that it would happen. After all screens never stop evolving.

THINK about how much bigger the keyboard will be which will make it easier to type with less margin of error in speed. THINK about that. I have "gamer thumbs" and Apple FAILED to think of that one design element.

One size NEVER fits all. EVER.

20 years from now, we, the humans wont be bigger and our hands wont be bigger and if we still use devices with our hands, we would prefer to use them with one hand. Whatever device we have in our life in 20 years, it must be small enough to enter our pockets and attach to our body without looking as a dush. Things must change making them better not trading portability or ease of use just to have a bigger display for your eyes.

Lol. 20 years from now, we won't be wearing skinny jeans. And you'd be too old to go "hipster" in that style by then.

That's why I never put the phone in my pant pocket. Ever. Always in the jacket or shirt pocket. Put that in your back pocket of the pant and it's asking to be robbed or pickpocketed.

Screen sizes will always evolve and never stay the same. It's all about progress and Apple is paying the price for taking too long to do so.

IF these components are real, I admit that I am worried that Apple appears to be making a bigger iPhone 5S.

However, we should all keep in mind that we don't know anything about this phone. It may have features and software that blows away the 5S. We just don't know. I'm inclined to withhold final judgement until the official launch.

I hope you're right. They're gonna look pretty feeble if the biggest 'innovation' is a slightly larger screen, bigger res and battery life that others have been offering for some time. I suspect the iWatch will throw open some opportunities to come up with something genuinely new.

Aside from something groundbreaking, a slightly bigger screen and the other incremental bumps don't really do it for me. I love the 5s for the fact that its a premium ultra-compact compared to other devices and wouldn't change it for a 4.7 or whatever iPhone. Why? Because it's not small enough or big enough! I'm pretty sure I'm a minority but I have two phones: the 5s at 4-inches and a 7-nch Huawei Mediapad X1 which is a genuine phablet complete with dialer. At 289USD off-contract built with aluminum, it's a steal. Obviously it's not to Apple's obsessive levels but it's not far off and clearly took cues from the 5/5s.

Having had a Note 1, Note 2, HTC One, Nexus 4 and 5, and Oppo Find 5, I find the middle ground (4.7-5.9) too compromising - too big for genuine one-handed use like the 5s yet too small compared to my rMini for reading, browsing, games and movies.

Regardless, I hope those wanting a 4.7-5.7 iPhone will be happy. I thought that's what I wanted until I tried devices in those sizes and then realized it was too much of a trade off so went with one small, one big. I just hope Apple gives us the choice to keep having a 4-inch phone but suspect the 5s will be the last of those.

Here's my line-up. Had to use an old dinosaur phone to take the pic as the others are shown.

Just looks like an oversized iPhone. While that's fine and all, I kind of wished they had taken the opportunity to at least re-fresh the front design

I agree, a fresh new design even if it was only slightly different would at least prove J. Ive is at work earning his keep.

Currently he's getting paid the big bucks to sit back reflecting on his navel ... :)

Apple wouldn't be pursuing a larger display if they didn't think there was a demand. Obviously that demand has come from somewhere.

He's also comparing the ONE brand of all ios ios to One brand of MANY that use android. Large phones are popular here in mexico, but I see a lot of chinese brands I have never heard of. The stores stock more of them than anything. When I picked up my iphone it was the only one boxed, there were brands like "blu" and a bunch of other large screen chinese brand phones.

Sssshhh, better stop with the intelligent posts. It's not allowed on the threads that talk about an iphone for those of us with normal sized hands.

No, jail break the iPad mini and stick the phone app on that. But I want the largest phone that still works in one hand. This may still fit the bill - can't quite tell but maybe. Otherwise, I hope they keep the 5s. I have the iPads so I don't need my phone to be so large. I need a one handed device. My two handed devices are the iPads.

And that is what Apple want you to do. Buy both iPad and iPhone.

You can keep your perfect size iPhone 4S. Be sure to make the screen look bigger by sticking your eyes close to the screen. Don't forget to scroll scroll scroll and pinch pinch pinch.

I hope this is not the new flagship model and they keep the 5S width for a flag shop model. They can make this oversized phone like they made a cheaper plastic 5C just to shut ppl up. This time don't manufacture so many cause no one bought the 5C. Tim, they're lying to you, they don't actually want what they say lol

What size pants do you wear? Are you're pants loose fitting or tight? Do you have room for the boys to breathe or are the boys breathing on you? Critical questions if you plan on getting the iPhone 6.
Maybe Apple can make "iJeans" for those lacking true pockets.

It doesn't matter. Do you care to know ? I wear mostly Armani, A&F and Levis, with some Trussardi. Loose and tight. Different models. It doesn't matter.
The "bulge" of a Note 3 in my pocket is just ridiculously awkward ...

Every one who says that something like a Note 3 can fit in his pocket or is operated one handed is just someone in denial.

Maybe is just a vocal minority ....

Apple is selling a huge amount of compact high quality phones. I was hoping they could fit a slightly larger display in a slightly bigger frame. This rumor tells me about a definitely bigger device

I do agree: one size doesn't fits all.
Why don't produce a compact one (something like 4.2-4.5" still compact) and a bigger one (something like 5-5.5") ?

Producing a definitely bigger and an insanely bigger devices could only piss off loyal customers perfectly happy with their compact iPhone ...

Yeah I think it's fake too. Probably a company that sells replacement touch screens decided to make one for attention.

A knock off, replacement part outfit getting a jump on the market is the best explanation of these pics so far IMO.

They may sell three versions of the iPhone, one at the current size, 4.7 and 5.5. Why not? I think it would make perfect sense. I'll bet the 4.7 will be the best seller if it stays at its current price point.

Is that a Note 3 in your pocket or are you just glad to see me? :D:D

This is not just related to hands size. I'm not a giant, but I'm absolutely normal (176 cm tall and 71 kgs) with normal hands.
Nevertheless I find this to be ridiculous:

Do you really think they are going to release 3 versions of iPhone 6 ? I don't.

I was hoping for a smaller format 4.7", not for an enlarged iPhone with the same aspect ratio and design.
I love iPhone 5/5s design, really, but with a bigger display those bezels make the device too tall (something like HTC One M8).

Ps: I'm not glad to see you, it's just my Nexus 7 in my pocket

Maybe they will keep the the 5C or 5S? I would like to see them do something like Motorola did with the X, a bigger screen but still a compact overall size, but the home button takes up a lot of space.

I like the M8, but as you said, it is definitely on the tall side. They could have made it shorter but the area where the HTC logo is takes up space too. They didn't really make the screen taller than the M7, just a bit wider, yet the phone is taller. A bit odd, IMO.

Yep, they are probably going to keep the 5s as usual, but I was speaking about a compact iPhone 6 ....
Do you want me to keep my 5s for two years ? Impossible ! Lol
I agree with you about M8: the height and the gimmick dual camera are the only complains I have about a great smartphone.

I don't think there will be a compact version of the iPhone 6 either. There will be some variation of the 5s or 5C. Who knows, maybe Apple will surprise us?

I like the dual front facing speakers on the M8, the speakerphone is loud and clear. I think they should have used a better camera and left it at that. There are always a few things that I wish were different on every phone I've ever had and I've been using cell phones for over 20 years. It wold be so easy to make a perfect phone. :D

Exactly. Looking at the plant in the background. This is way too small of an operation for the volume that Apple works at. My take is these are pre-knock off parts in a plant making unlicensed "iPhone 6" devices. The most extreme is this is a very well fabricated hoax leading the public in the wrong direction.

This!

And it's quite amusing reading all these people get so upset over these so called leaks. You should be ashamed of yourselves if you believe this is what Apple is making for a 4.7" iPhone.

The width looks ridiculous. One handed use doesn't look possible on that thin sheetg.

I'll never understand this forum's obsession with one handed use. Smartphones aren't phones, they're pocket computers that can make phone calls, and a larger screen makes using it considerably easier and more pleasant.

I have a Nexus 5 and using it one handed is very easy. Equally, I forever see iPhone users who choose to use two hands.

4.5-5.5 inch screens seem ideal in my opinion and iPhones are just too small. I guess, being an Android user, I'm used to being spoilt for choice. Hopefully Apple will finally have a range of sizes available so ios users can also have the same choice.

I would love if the back were solid aluminium in multiple colors, like the touch. Really dig the touch's design. Can't wait, and will buy it no matter what anyways :p

Is it my imagination, or is the girls thumb making an indent in the 'glass', as though its actually a cut out piece of plastic or perspex with some white paper cut out into the shape of the surround, and glued onto the back, i.e. a fake. Real glass wouldn't do that surely, it would be solid.

The palette of things on the floor is interesting though, that does make it seem real.

I just upgraded my iPhone4 to a Nexus5 as a stop gap, bored waiting for an iPhone that gives the wow factor back (The 4s, 5, and 5s all seemed too small of an upgrade). Planned to get the iPhone6 when it comes out, having said that, I am actually loving the N5. Its an amazing phone. It is funny how quickly you get used to the bigger screen (4.95"), and it doesnt feel any bigger in a pocket due to the rounded back. If the iPhone6 is the same sharp edged design as the iphone5, worried it wont sit as comfortably.

And that is what Apple want you to do. Buy both iPad and iPhone.

Apple wants you to buy everything apple not just the iPhone and iPad. And I follow orders. I have an iMac, Mac Air, ipad, 5s, 5c, TimeMachine, airport express, and 2 ATVs. And I am broke :D:p
