Bush Turkey and Rainbow Lorrikeet

Taken with available light at about 1/30 sec plus low power flash.

I still have not figured out precisely what is what on the turkey, one leg looks like some sort of icicle or something. The lorrikeets are notoriously bad tempered with the turkeys.

Thank goodness this is the closest we come to tornadoes in this part of Montana-two "funnel-shaped" clouds. As seen over Georgetown Lake; there is still some ice on this lake despite some recent warm weather:

Nice photo, but a bit too big for a forum post. I have a 23 in monitor and still have to scroll to see it all. Try to keep posts to a max of 1024 px on the long side so they fit most monitors easily. There is an unwritten rule on MR limiting linked photos to 800 px wide. If we stick to a max of 1024, the Moderators will usually leave us alone.

It's ironic. Your image demonstrates about two dozen things I'd never do to a pic, yet the first thing I'd have done would be to clone out that white van... ;)
I didn't notice the van until you said something. I was too focused on the overexposed foreground.

thanks for all the love.

Photography is a very individualistic thing, like art, IMO. I never could understand why people like Picasso or Pollard, but so many do. They're just not my cup of tea. So to borrow a phrase from my younger days; "If it feels good, do it!" so if what you do makes you happy, to borrow another phrase from today, "Just Do It!."" Not commenting on any particular photos, some of yours I love, others not so much. But that could very well be said about a good many of us who post on this site. Most of us here just want to keep growing as photographers and constructive criticism is always good. But at the end of the day, each of us has a particular vision of what we want to capture and what we find pleasing to our own eyes. :)
