Took this picture of this cool guy yesterday at the zoo. He stood there forever letting me take pictures. They ended up pretty good considering they were taken through glass.

I haven't posted here much lately. It isn't because I haven't taken pictures, but I just haven't felt like sharing the ones I have taken (mostly because they didn't seem to be pictures that should be shared widely). Today I'm sharing one I took almost a year ago. This is the only picture I have of this man where he is the subject. It was taken the last time he was able to attend church, which was for his granddaughter's confirmation last May.

I attended his funeral on Saturday. The family asked me for this photo to use for his obituary, and they also used it on keepsake cards that they handed out. I was very glad I had a picture they liked and wanted to use for this time in their lives.
