^ In my opinion there is no real reason to stick to the original aspect ratio for something like POTD postings. If it's going to print output, then you need to keep the aspect ratio of the intended paper in mind. Q: Is it best to crop pics like this even if the original aspect ratio is completely lost?

Thanks, that's what I figured... in fact, many art shops around town sell this exact print (not taken by me) in a very cropped wide aspect ratio... so I guess even printing's not necessarily an excuse to keep the original aspect ratio.![]()
