Mostly for what I thought were practical reasons. I wanted to go with the smaller aperture to ensure focus and detail, and the light was failing at the end of the day. And I didn't have a tripod. I set the camera on top of my wallet, on a parking garage wall, used the 10-second delayed shutter, and tried to hold it as still as I could. Is there a reason you used ISO 400 for a still shot? I am new to digital photography and always thought you wanted to use min ISO unless taking photos of moving objects?
Just curious, anyone know what kind of phone the guy was taking the picture with in front of me? I have never had a smart phone so I don't know much about them.
It's been a weird summer for sunsets (and light in general) in California - glad to see you could capture some color!
Jones Beach, Long Island
I used a CP and 3 stop singh-ray reverse ND grad filter for the shot
Awesome shot, dude. Maybe a silly question: how do you get your flickr link like that in your sig??![]()
