nice pic, HBOC..very desktop background-worthy haha..

stupid question..
are you restricted to shooting 'manual' shots to post to this forum? or do some people use the 'auto' settings?

not trying to expose anyone, haha..simply want to know what everyone else is doing..

I agree, great pic HBOC.

There aren't any restrictions on shooting mode... auto, manual or in-between it's the end result that matters :)
Some like to share how they produced a photo or the settings used, it can help others learn and improve.

a faint rainbow in the cloud. it was gone a few minutes later.

Cool shot. Reminds me of the energy ribbon in Star Trek Generations.

June Gloom in August. If you were on the ground, you won't even see the sun. These clouds (marine layer) made this one of the coldest summers in LA ever.

Amazing picture. I wonder on how you did manage to keep stars as dots in the picture instead of appearing as "lines"? If I try taking picture of the sky with shutter speed set to around a minute stars do not appear as dots.

Search the net for the following words. You can do astrophotography with some basic equipment.

Right next to the lighthouse at Point Reyes in California is a hut with an unused office and some derelict furniture.

Last week was airplane show @ Oakland Airport in Michigan, big storm just ended, we just got out from hiding under a plane wing staying dry, those big wings are good for more than flying :D

I was drawn to the reflections in the ground H20 and captured this family shot just as other people started to come from their shelter area(s).

Like you said, the reflection is really cool. Is this post-processed at all? The colors are absolutely incredible.

Here's mine for the day :: f/2.8 47mm ISO100 1/800 (I saw the 47mm and thought, "wow, am I that lazy that I couldn't just set it up at 50mm (the max for my lens) and take a step back?)

Took this a month or so back in Tucumcari, NM. I'm on a Route 66 kick, so I drove from Albuquerque because the weather forecast called for "partly cloudy skies". To me that means possible great photo ops.

Arrived when the clouds were just starting to peak. Got a great shot in front the iconic La Cita. Don't miss that swallow I snagged during its updraft.

Great shots from everyone. I look forward each day to see what you guys/gals come up with.

Thanks to the person who told me how to quote and add thumbnails.
Love the colours and reflections. Nice happy family.

Thx, RAW capture, PP done all in Aperture 3 = slight crop, adj curves, slight highlights/shadows, did some dodge on family face/hands to slightly enhance them (original exposure of them ok, but after dodge I liked how they stood out slightly more), sharpen.

There are many ways, some take them from flickr, some copy and paste what I do is just use attach files then upload the full-Size (8mp for example) jpeg /s then it will post them at the bottom of your post and if they click on the image they get to see it full size (8mp)

Sorry for spelling im on iPod I'm to lazy to walk to my computer !

As Doylem said, take a look at the first post. Flickr is in need of a make-over by me, but I'm moving and have a vacation coming up. ImageShack is simple, especially if you use the ImageShack Uploader Tool.
