trying out a "new" old lens

I just picked up an M42 to EOS adapter, so i was trying out all of my "new" old lenses on my Rebel XT. This was shot with the 50mm I believe. It's a peacock lawn ornament in case you were wondering.

EXIF:50mm; 1/640; f/1.9; ISO 200

:) I just got a kick out this picture. As soon as I saw it I knew it was a VirtualRain image. Was the photo taken in or near Stanley Park?

What gives it away? Yes, it was taken along the seawall near the entrance to the park between English Bay and Second Beach.

Shallow DOF / good brokeh rules!!, sweet.

Nice edit, done in CS5 or Aperture?
I have both, but at this time I'm better in Aperture 3 than CS5.
Took the liberty of adding a little Content Aware and Clone fine tuning and no more umbrella person. Nice colors and can almost feel the clear rain cleaned air...

1/10 on 400 ISO? On a D700? Why not raise the ISO (3200 for example)? And a ligher exposure?

Great pic..

Quick question: how do I get my pictures to appear like this in the thread?

I posted one on the last page and it was a smaller thumbnail, hmmm..

Cropped just a little bit to get someone's hand out of the way. C&C appreciated!

I have my photos on another website, so I can link to it from this forum.
Btw. please change the IMG tags to TIMG tags when quoting to reduce the image size.

Does iPhoto allow you to see meta-data about ShutterSpeed, Focal Length, ISO for images?

I would like to post those with my images to get CnC to improve my photography skills and understanding...

Here's my daily photo --- it's a little bit messy, but I like the colors. As always CnC appreciated.:)
