Back to the boats... Newport OR

Wandered back down to the docks today. So get ready for some more boat shots for a bit... ;)

D300, 50mmf/1.8, 1/1000, f/8.0, ISO400

One of my more-favorite shots of my twin sister, Jane. Taken in the El Malpais National Park in New Mexico. The skies in New Mexico during the summer are some of the best you'll ever see.

Come on in, chef, and take a seat. Let someone cook you a meal for a change... :)

Tiny moorland stream; you know summer's nearly over when the heather's in flower...

Great shot. Would love to see this spot in real life.

Nothing too special about this shot, but it's the first pano I've shot with the 24mm TSE.

The view from Makapu'u overlook, East Oahu, Hawaii.

Cropped just a little bit to get someone's hand out of the way. C&C appreciated!

Timely photo for us in the NorthWest. Two of these were scrambled from Portland when Obama was in town. Some guy and his girl in a float plane coming back from a fishing trip drifted into the no-fly zone. The sonic booms crashed the 911 system and lit Twitter on fire... They were armed and dangerous...

Does iPhoto allow you to see meta-data about ShutterSpeed, Focal Length, ISO for images?

I would like to post those with my images to get CnC to improve my photography skills and understanding...

Here's my daily photo --- it's a little bit messy, but I like the colors. As always CnC appreciated.:)

I have an app called EXIF Viewer on my Dock. I drag my photo to it and copy/paste the info.
Simple EXIF Viewer

Very interesting. So, what are we looking at here? I like the sepia treatment.

Pepperell Cove (Kittery Point, ME)

Great use of colors in this one.

Nice work by all.

That's gotta be no fun. I bet he was in custody for at least 10 hours, and the FAA may pull his ticket.

Looks like a belt-fed machine gun belt- probably aerial given the caging. B-17 maybe?

Ding - Paul is correct.
At the airshow last week my family and I toured inside a B-17, really cool to do that, $14 for the 5 of us.
I was drawn to the old equipment, and the 50 caliber clip in particular, thinking of the actual people who shot that during WW-II and how that clip meant life/death for them by shooting the enemy.

I tried pure B&W with diff PP but somehow the sepia conveyed the wartime feel best I thought.

My 4 year old behind the same gun before I took the close up shot posted above.
I have a few other shots worthy of POTD from the airshow I'll be posting in the upcoming days, 1/day.
