Super combination of the elements here. It's a rare coincidence of location and weather that will give you great light and clouds right at eye level. Nice one!

Too hot to go out for picture hunting. I'm feeling uninspired to do something creative otherwise. So I captured a cat moment.

The blue makes a perfect background for the orange cat, and is dark enough to make the whiskers really stand out. I also like how you got us right at his(?) level and nailed the focus, getting it right where it should be--and it's sharp too! Well done.

I love that. I just want to be there right now

Thanks. Yeah, me too. ::::sigh::::

Wow! Where was this taken?

Off the beaten path in central Slovenia: here to be exact. I also took a photo looking the other way, posted here. It's one of those special places that tourists never visit unless they're traveling with locals. I'm hoping to find a time of the day/year when the sun does something crazy cool at this location, but gorges are tricky in that regard.

fitshaced and iBlue: you two need to get one of the plug-ins for quoting images in this thread, developed especially for us by TheReef. They're very easy to install and to use. :)

^ Stunning!

Oohh! Gorgeous!

Thanks for the heads up about the plug-in too.

Yes, it is a he. Some of that was luck, some of it preparation. I was already set up to take pictures from that level, and I had moved the chair over to the window to get better light on him. Then he yawned, and I quickly snapped. The focus was the lucky part because the camera wasn't set up how I wanted for focusing when he yawned. I got lucky that the focal point hit on a point that happened to line up with his face just right. It hit just below the bell on his collar. I bet if I tried to do it on purpose, I'd have messed it up. :)

Lots of Spring rains and a late snow melt caused a lot of flooding in parts of Washington State. This is the Snoqualmie River and a tree that it relocated. Must seem tame to anyone from the Mississippi River drainage.
