Thought it would be fun to try the 400L + 2x with 1.6 crop sensor = 1280mm

I love the colors in this one. It almost looks like a toy boat carrying a bunch of Lego blocks. :)

Another one from a series I shot a couple of weeks ago:

This was just a 'record shot': the light had gone and I didn't see much potential. And yet the soft, warm light seems to suit the scene better than being overlit (ie harsh light, deep shadows, etc). Hmmm...

Thanks! That carnival is in such a bad area that I didn't really want to get out of the car to setup my tripod... hence the reflections on my sunroof :p

The reflection is off of your sunroof?! Very nice.

As for all the bird pictures above: I'll see your gulls and raise you a raven. ;)

I have the scariest picture of the day. Here comes the school bus! Yes, school is back in session here.

This isn't exactly the shot I wanted to get because the bus stopped further down the road than I originally set up. I had to run real quick to a new spot and only managed to get off a shot or two. I kind of like the outcome, though, and the tilted look even though I hadn't planned for it.

Wow! Was that by chance or setup? At any rate... awesome!

Thank you very much. It was part chance and part setup. Let me tell you, the model was a real blockhead ;) No, actually we were driving through the battlefield in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (American Civil War battlefield) when my wife saw that view as I was driving by. I threw the car in reverse and backed up until I saw a composition that I liked with the tree. The rider and horse is actually a monument. (get it? blockhead :p )

Here is mine for today. We were in that area for my wife's family reunion at her great uncle's farm. He has a beautiful flower garden and I have been looking forward to shooting it all year. I got a few that I like.

Reef, just out of curiosity and for my own education, do you use any filters for these pictures, such as as FL-W magenta filter?
