My daughter had to put her German Shepard down today. She had developed bone cancer. Bogey was one of the most sweetest and gentlest dogs I have ever come in contact with. She would let my daughter's crawling infants climb over her, pull her ears and tail and never growl or move away. Anyway, here is a tribute to our sweet Bogey from a prior photo. Have fun in puppy heaven.

RIP indeed - it's a sad thing to happen.

My neighbour has a German Shepherd as well, she is brilliant with children, absolutely adores them.
Amazing how they stay in the air...

Aha - now the bug has bitten you as well!

Nice shot. Now, you must hire a helicopter, as one of the other 'famous' photographers often does.

The A380 is quite impressive when you see it lifting off the runway from the front. The wings are huge! But my favourites is the McDonnell Douglas MD-11. Its infamous takeoff performance is the stuff of legend!
I was trying to capture the retro-themed Thai B747-400 last night from the other side of the airport. Stupidity wrecked the shot. I wondered how, given the light over there was better - did I still need to use ISO12800 to get 1/30sec with F/4.0?
At last minute, I checked the filter holder. Had the 8x ND still in the thing.

And of course, the normal filter was put away in the box, in the back of the car - some 5 minutes walk away. Argh! Stupid stupid stupid! But it happens when you are tired I guess.
Good thing is I can easily track the movements of that plane and I'll photograph it again another time. I'll get it this afternoon at another location standing on a ladder, but sadly in daylight, rather than at night.

Spotters standing on ladders and the B777. Quite a few well known photographers in that one photo.
