Doesn't quite work for me. The pose looks stiff, the expression rather stern. The pillars compete too strongly with the figure. Might have been better if the model was further away from the pillars, so they could be thrown further out-of focus. Plus, they're leaning... which distracts my attention... Just my two-pennorth...

Great light and location; did you wait for the two figures to arrive at that particular spot?

Lovely shot. I like how the water in the pool is dead calm and the water on other side is not.

A shot from a photo shoot last night in downtown Seattle.

You nailed the exposure - the framing just confuses me - more pillar than bride, plus they are the same color so there is a significant amount of distraction.

Home we aren't being to hard on you :)

This looks great! Did you crop it to get the moon so big at 28mm?

The moon is at it's original size. I only blended the detailed moon in over the glowing 'corona' which had been blown out to get the exposure on the tower. So, I first under exposed the scene so the moon was propely exposed, then did a separate exposure for the tower, and blended the two together in a layer mask.

Thanks for the feedback Doylem. The model wanted some strange pictures and she enjoyed this one.

No problem Arisian. She was a model and not a bride. I want feedback on my pictures since I am still learning.

You own the shots--even if the client is paying for them (unless you've made specific arrangements). Before my clients see any of my shots I view them and take out the stuff I don't like. What they don't see they cannot select. The aforementioned pose, expression, and framing would have probably kept this on in the dark for me.
Your picture reminded me of one of my personal favorites. Simmilar components, different composition. I loved your "still learning" bit. Aren't we all... :)

Is it just me?

Or have a lot of folks stepped there game up? This month has an AMAZING collection of photos. I been quite busy between school, work, and shooting for assignments. It's paying off though, one of my more recent assignment shots made it into Explore on flickr. I'm a happy camper, exhuasted, but happy.

Here is one from last night, went on a photo walk with some local flickr folks. It was quite fun!

I keep going back to this composition, in Dunnerdale, but something always happens to the light... and not in a good way. I'll get a shot sometime... but this isn't it...

Great location/subject though. Goodluck on getting that shot you're looking for. Post it when you do get it.
