Guilty as charged.

Things sure have changed in the last few months. The site redesign is an improvement, but the new image quotation behavior is really unfortunate.

It is unfortunate, I'm going to try code up something to fix this in two or so weeks when I get some time off (and time to finally take some pictures ;)).

The idea is have a Safari/Firefox plugin - a little button that sits in the top bar, and when clicked will automatically "fix" your reply text - ie convert every image in the post to timgs.
This will hopefully encourage people to multi-quote-timg a lot more.
That's the idea anyway, we'll see how far I get... :p

Nice job on this one. Looks "Alamyable" to me. ;)

Thanks, I was very eager to try out the new lens so slipped out for an hour, not an ideal background setting against plain sky, now waiting for the free time and some golden sun storm cloud filled afternoons. :) Haven't submitted there for quite some time now, I mean to get back into it.

Try to push the limits of hand held, no flash. This one ISO 1600, f1.4, 1/20 s leaning against a pillar. Converted to B&W in Aperture (the wall at the background has an awful color).

Hi to you...

I've barely taken a pic in six months, and I've definitely lost the 'fluency'. I'm even having to think about what to do... and that's always a bad sign. :(

Yeah, tell me about it. Six months ago my cameras were like extensions of my own self, but now I pick one up and feel like a teenager with his first girlfriend.

Remember that you can override it.

Well, I'm not much of a programmer.

Wow. Heroic as always. I'll never forget the time you bailed me out of a nasty predicament with my ICC profiles. [Insert genuflection here.]

I'm there now. Sorry to have missed you. I look forward to seeing more of your shots from Slovenia!

This was from my first attempt at photographing fireworks. It's nothing special, but I think its OK for a first try. Now the other 100 aren't very good at all :p Taken at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

Wind chimes.

Dale

I really like this one, Dale. Nice job.

This morning I ran in the Miles-4-Smiles 5k to benefit children with cancer. I came in 2nd in the men's 40-49 age group with a 24:50 time. That happens to be a personal best for that distance for me, too.

I wanted to get a shot like this at the start, but since I couldn't carry my 60D and run, I wasn't able to do it. I took this one during the the awards ceremony after the race.
