The Opossum at the end of the tracks.

Another mural on my neighborhood of Pilsen in Chicago, this is a gift from a Belgian artist to the neighborhood. Tomorrow part 2 of this mural.

^^^ Looks like a perfect spot to have a glass of the amber fluid Doylem. There I was thinking where's the trademark Doylem sheep, until I spotted it!

Another from the bird banding yesterday for me. These Red Browed Finches are absolutely tiny, but were the highlight of the morning when we finally snared one in a net just as we were packing up! A little prior to this I'd been hanging around a fallen tree in a small gully for about half an hour motionless, where they were in a swarm of about 20 or so, but they were so fast and always on the move to capture one clearly was impossible, so I went back to the banding... :(

Phrasikleia, I enjoy your work so much, I can almost tell a photo is yours before seeing who posted it! You are very gifted and I am sure appreciated by many people who never comment. Thank You

If it weren't for the kind words of encouragement from people such as you, I might have given up photography long ago. Thank you for helping to fuel the fire..like any other, it needs some good stoking on occasion. :)

Thanks also to Hankster and Reef for the comments.

Thanks! Obviously a few others did as well as it is my first image to go viral and it knocked up over a million hits in about 10 hours! Madness.

That's great, acearchie...congrats! If you have a hit photo, run with it!

I see your pig and raise you two ;)

I have to go back and see if the mural is still there... I know there is a fourth pig next to them, but for some reason I seem to have only taken a picture of the three on top of each other.

Edit: Oh, sorry, clicking the picture I saw it was a rat. Well, I guess it's the same artist either way :)

Sneaky Self Portrait

Behind the scenes at Infinity Tattoo for the Portland 2013 Kitchen Ink event with me photographing 11 Tattoo Artists inking 11 Chefs, then off to Imperial restaurant with each Chef making a dish inspired by the tattoo (actual photos of the event coming soon.) The camera I shot the event with was the Fujifilm X-E1 with the 35mm Lens.

I got this particular self portrait by using the self-timer on the Camera+ app on my iPhone which was mounted in the Phocus camera case/wide-angle lens kit.

Still learning..

Not the best but it's a start...

My 10 y/o min pin outside on our porch.

That's insane! Congrats!

It's a really interesting photo you wouldn't expect to have been done in camera. How did you take it? Take a photo of the persons silhouette then one of the leaves? Do you have to use a light background to make it work well?

Hope to get a camera one day where I can take double exposures as it looks quite fun.

Cute Italian

You meet the cutest Italians on the roads hereabouts ...

In Brussels, hidden away in a really shady back street really close to the touristy areas.

I even found a proper picture of it, hit the link in the text underneath that says "cliquez ici" if you want to get its exact location in Google Maps. http://www.trompe-l-oeil.info/Murspeints/details.php?image_id=15540

The following two pictures are semi close ups of the two parts.

If you do a Google picture search for Roa Bruxelles you'll find more of his work.

Sounds like a great event genshi. Some of the best folks I've ever worked with were chefs, lunatics and egomaniacs for the most part, but, great folks nonetheless! Looking forward to seeing more from this event.

Looks good when you see it larger! Nice sharp detail and a cute subject!
