100 Year Flood

A rare view of Lago di Fusine Superiore flooded to twice its normal size due to snowmelt from an exceptionally long, snowy winter...

(Tech notes: two-axis stitch of four horizontals, each one a blend of 2-3 exposures. Main exposures: 17mm, f/16, 4s, ISO 100.)

Doylem, many of your pictures aren't showing for me.
I've had the same problem with imageshack, I find uploading the picture a 2nd time usually works.

I don't believe this is just me (but not everybody... I also see 2 likes on your latest pic), can anyone else confirm Doylem's pictures aren't showing?

His lovely photos are showing for me. :)

Phras. you have forged the term "Ultra-real" here at our place to describe your imagery of late! Our collective hats are off to you ma'am! Exquisite...

Doylem's delights show perfectly for me. I wonder if it's a DNS type problem, periodically I have to reset mine for some strange reason.

Hmm I think you might be right John...

Incredible P! Such a great range of colour, tone and subject interest!
Very impressive stitching 4 HDRs!

Autumn Colours (the new B+W polariser is a huge improvement btw, for those who saw the thread)

It doesnt seem fair that I always get to follow P :(

She's just too good!

Tetney Blow Wells, shot using an old olympus 35rc, A camera as old as I am! Not bad for a 30/40 year old rangefinder that will fit it your pocket, and costs the price of a half decent lens filter!

Man that looks like trout country.;)

It sure is! However, all of the main fishing streams are still running fast and muddy with the spring runoff. This was a side tributary but I had my camera instead of my fly rod. In retrospect, I should have packed both! Here's another from the Custer battlefield national park.

His two posts on this page I was just looking at showed up for me.

Great shot, really love the DOF!

I would say the framing isn’t quite to my style but it’s still a great shot all the same.

I’m wrapped up with finishing University at the moment but I keep on finding distractions to keep me away from working! Some friends and I are going on a road trip soon and I have been posting a photo a day of the trip last year to build up some excitement for the trip this year.

If anything, for me it emphasises the old mantra that the best camera is the one you have with you. So far I have pulled all my ‘pictures' from GoPro video files!

beautiful. want to share how you did this? or is it just a simple long exposure??

thanks.

Shot with a Nikon D700 + Samyang 14mm 2.8. I think it was shot at 2.8, ISO 2200 and 41 second exposure. Will have to double check when I get home.
