** I hope you guys like it. First time taking studio strobes outside. Read tutorial after tutorial. It was so much fun, I am quite looking forward to doing more outside work with them. I only brought one this shoot because I am still learning my gear. Reaaally cool though, strobing. Now I know what all the hype is about. I remember one guy on here who takes his strobes outside a lot for nature stuff and I really liked his work. I'm also glad I captured the snow a little. Thanks!

Hmm. Who might he be?? Yes, it's great fun! There's nothing quite like the empowerment of being able to create good light instead of waiting for it. :)

Agreed. I really want to get to Jedi Light Ninja status. There are so many aspects to photography, jeeze. I love softboxes, barn doors, gels, all that stuff. In the studio I have been doing the.. Rembrandt lights position, 45 degrees from subject and angled 45 down. Strobes, next to my L glass, is probably my favorite pieces of equipment now!! Thanks for the reply too, appreciated. I love your stuff :)

This shot is great, like a painting.

(It's 9am in England? I need to go back to sleep for 1-2 more hours....)

My shot of the day, a 2nd one from the Raccoon I tracked 2 weeks ago, this flash shot makes the eyes look too spooky, I was trying to illuminate the inside of his home....got Paws/claws.
I moved the branches out of the way, I did not know how the Raccoon would react to me getting slowly closer to his home, so in case I was prepared to bolt.

I try to stay away from making cat pictures because I don't want my 365 project to be a majority of cat shots. However, sometimes the kitten is too cute, and I just have to make one.

Now that is how you get the sky~ ! Good work!

totally agree with Jason here. The converging lines of the clouds and the blue sky with the unusual tree just draws you right in. One of those magic moments when nature cooperates to show it's beauty. It is also very helpful that the photographer gets the right angle and perspective. Nicely done Otter!

Off-camber

A mad scramble on a long, off-camber stretch of muddy course had riders having to choose between riding just the right line and trying to stay upright, or taking a faster pace on foot with bike over shoulder.

long time follower, but only very seldom poster. wonderful photos in this thread!!

Here are my two birds for today.

After I finished my run today I took some pictures around the park where I started and finished. The tree colors are very bright right now. I think this picture captured the brightness of the colors well.
