That's a beautiful image, although I think I'd like the image better without the boat.

Just to be contradictory, it's the boat that I like. If I was going to lose anything in the composition it would be the log in the foreground.

I'd be running (inelegantly) along the shore to the right, trying to find a way to make the boat and peak into a composition. There are so many ways you could put these elements together, both tele and wide-angle: it looks like one of those days when you don't want to hurry... :)

Not many days left to see some of these around…C&C welcome, still getting use to Aperture 2 and going through a good amount of my photos that could use just a pinch ;)

Destroyer angels

Raining in my back yard today, not much interesting from under the porch to photograph except for these shrooms in the lawn...

Hi all, stupid question. How do you shrink the picture when you are quoting someone?

Hey Jaiden,

Awesome shot! I'm kind of new to photography, and was wondering how you were able to get only half of the photo in b&w

Hey, thanks for the compliment :)
The original photo was completely colour, but I desaturated (removed all colour from) everything left of the road in photoshop.d

For those not from the UK - HBOS is/was a banking group affected by the present financial storms.

This was taken by me a few days ago using a macro lens rig that I built.
Canon EOS 30D And 18-55MM Kit Lens.
f/8.0 at 1/250, ISO 400.

I'm selling this body and buying the EOS 50D - 28-135mm Kit and the 17-40 f/4.0L Lens next week. Hmm, $2200 bucks on new camera gear, my parents are kinda awestruck that I'd spend that kind of money on it.

Err, what is that?

I think you have some nice portrait shots, but I find your lighting weird. On the right side of the face, it has a green tinge....also, on your other ones, the forehead looks purplish.

Beautiful photo! I am really eyeing that lens. I've been looking at it on Amazon for a week now. I'm planning on renting one for the weekend to try it out just to make sure.

Hello Everyone,

This is my first time posting on this topic and I thought I'd share a photo I took a couple months ago. I had just gotten a camera as a gift and I was testing it out. I though the pic came out wonderful. It's been my desktop image and wall paper on my ipod touch since. Hope you guys like it.

Camera: Nikon Coolpix 8.0 Megapixels.
