Found this little character in the garden today moving very rapidly amongst some herbs in the herb spiral. Handheld in deep shade, no flash.

^^
Ha, thought that was a macro shot at first of a piece of rock. Had to adjust my thinking!
Took some photos of the opening of a new RSPCA charity shop today. Pretty pleased with how they came out.

Is thus your daughter? I'm always a bit wary of taking pictures of strangers kids. People can draw the wrong conclusion.
I really like this!
My shot for today:

Today's addition to the set. More developed than the rest, I cropped this one down a bit and I think it's my favourite so far.

The kind of touristy stock shot that sells better than my landscape pix...

I've missed posting in this thread! I'm a teacher and this month has just been hectic (horrible) so I've barely had any time to think about photographs!
This was taken with a Lumix TZ40.
A striking flower.

Looking underneath the front end of the caterpillar I posted above yesterday. Still handheld, no image stabilisation, no flash, in the deep shade of the herb spiral. To those tempted to try macro on a budget, it is possible with a little practice and patience.
