Old Macs I used to have…

Except the G5. I still have it - it's just back at work being used.

That 17in... So familiar.
You got my best 17" LCD with that one. :D

The other one in the photos was a 1.67Ghz 17" HD-DLSD. The MBP I have now didn't come along until last year.

Oh…and the TiBook is my old Ti400, not my son's current Titanium DVI.

Is it just me, or do those trees look very like the trees in How to Train your Dragon?

I took out my Power Macintosh 8600/300 today to play on it a little bit. Here are some photos. :)

One thing I forgot about was that it has the clear blue-green plastic button to open the side door. This was a year before the iMac, keep in mind. :)

Took out my most neglected PowerPC Mac today; PowerMac G4 MDD FW800, dual 1.25GHz G4, Nvidia GeForce 4 MX, 1x 40GB HDD, 2x 20GB HDDs, 10.5.8 and 10.4.11 dual booting.

Also seen in these pictures is my 512ke, Power Macintosh G3/266 Desktop, Apple LaserWriter Select 360, PowerBook G4 15in DLSD, Early 2009 MacBook, PowerBook G4 12in 1.5GHz, Kindle, Dell 1503FP Monitor, and ThinkPad T61.

This is my side desk setup, which is next to my main setup, but that's a post for another time :) Also, this desk undergoes a lot of changes as weeks go by, like the addition of a 24in iMac soon. A few months ago my 17in iMac (which is now my sister's) replaced my 1.25GHz eMac. My Cube also used to sit on that desk, but with the monitor for the G3/MDD and a 24in iMac on the way, I had to move my Cube over.

Nice! Good balance between subject and artisticness, good choice of location.
IMHO.

Can't wait for the others.

Way off topic... but how did you change your username? I can't think of any reason the mods would let you change from "AmazingKerem" to "SuperKerem". :D

Isn't that, "Aren't they beautiful?" :D
Well, I was actually referring to the majestic vista of timeless PPC history when I said "it"... :D

It's also worth mentioning that the "jellyfish" subwoofer only was marketed along side the iMac G3 under the name "iSub." When connected to a computer, the internal speakers(or externals, as the case may be) will work in concert with the iSub. An iSub with something like a pair of "eyeball" Pro speakers(although not the Cube speakers) makes for a very nice set-up. The iSub was supported in OS 9 and up through 10.4 officially. 10.5 can be patched fairly easily to support it, although it will NOT work with any Intel Macs at all.

The iSub is great, but in my experience will only work up to something like 10.5.4 or 10.5.6, with the patch. As so much software really wants 10.5.8, I ended up selling my one. Worked really well with the iMac G3 on 10.4, and was nice with the iMac G4's speakers too. The G4's speakers are good for their size, but the iSub's bass noticeably improves their sound. I wound up buying some HK SoundSticks 3 for my main setup after that.

I have the G3 version of this tower, but no matching monitor. Ah, how I wish I had the monitor.
Majestic indeed. I assume those Macs are plugged in and ready to come to like at any moment?
