The iSub is great, but in my experience will only work up to something like 10.5.4 or 10.5.6, with the patch. As so much software really wants 10.5.8, I ended up selling my one. Worked really well with the iMac G3 on 10.4, and was nice with the iMac G4's speakers too. The G4's speakers are good for their size, but the iSub's bass noticeably improves their sound. I wound up buying some HK SoundSticks 3 for my main setup after that.

I found it to be a bit buggy but overall functional in 10.5.8, but realized that it came at a cost of not allowing USB audio in.

Ultimately, I went a similar route and bought a set of first generation H-K Soundsticks. They work with everything, and now that I'm using a G5 as my main computer in this application I find them to be an overall better solution.

iMac G4 #2 just came home with me. This one is a 700Mhz 768MB RAM model. Installing tiger on it now.

You just cannot have too many of these (I'm living proof) with 15", 17" 1GHz & 1.25GHz, and 20" 1.25GHz. :)
Imho the iMac G4 'Sunflower' is a candidate for one of the top 3 best Macs EVER! And one of the most satisfying to work on.

In iTunes you just add the stream address (cmd U)...in this case from:
https://somafm.com/secretagent/directstreamlinks.html
Or, my station (SOMA FM) :D

https://somafm.com/dronezone/directstreamlinks.html

SOMA, by the way means South of Market. A large city district in San Francisco. SOMA FM is named after it and they are the pioneers of internet radio. They created internet radio.

I've been listening to DroneZone since 2001, but it actually launched in 2000.

Yeah, iTunes internet radio on OS9. :D

I just scored a 1.25Ghz 17" for free on Craigslist. Make that three now.

It's new home makes it look like a decoration, or an Apple Store to match with the Lego Store next to it. But one thing is for sure, it definitely doesn't look like a computer.
Looks great. :) But are you using it at all? Is it attached to that monitor on the side?

I've been trying to use it more as of lately. It's among my slower Macs due to the 450MHz G4, but for basic things it's great. I added a fan recently and now I don't have to worry about it overheating. And yes it's connected to that LCD, but there's more to that setup that I post later in the PowerPC Setup thread.

When Aluminium was King...
Using these three devices back in 2004 made me feel like James Bond...do people get the same buzz from the latest tech now I wonder?

This is the very FIRST desktop background I applied in February 2005 to the G5 my boss had just given me. G5, metal Apple Cinema Display (which is in fact STILL being used as a main display by my coworker), metal background. :D
