This has gone too far.

I think it is pretty great for people to learn how things get shipped around the world. Many times people go to the store and they have no concept of how food/goods arrives at the store.

But we are all a bunch of nerds on macrumors ;)

This isn't news, and it isn't a rumor. We know the iPhone 6 is shipping. We know it's coming. A picture of cargo that could be, for all we know, twenty-five tons of fish, really isn't very exciting.

As someone who's frequented Mac rumor sites for over 12 years, this is probably the worst I've ever seen.

What interest do you honestly get out of this?

Lighten up Frances.

I think that people "think this is stupid", because you might be misinformed about how the delivery process works. Your device might very well be on this plane, as many are being delivered to the US (and you have seen some rumors of them arriving just after the keynote, before preorder). Once they hit their destination in the US, Apple will break down the pallets and parse the orders from there.

If previous Apple orders from China are any indication, these pallets contain boxes already labeled for individual FedEx shipment, with each pallet grouped with packages destined for similar hubs or destination cities. Typical Tim Cook logistics, touch the boxes the fewest number of times possible.

I agree. People should know these things to better understand how the process works and WHY there are delays with things.

A lot of people like to complain about truck drivers in the US but don't stop to think that if it weren't for those trucks, the country would be at a standstill.

Truckers get treated like absolute garbage a lot of times and they're just hard working men and women trying to make a living. They don't deserve that crap. One could even argue that they are the real heroes here, keeping America running and grocery stores full etc. Hell I'm an Air Force vet AND a trucker, does that make me a double hero? :D haha

I think that if Apple is not recording all of this in video and photos they are making a big mistake because they are making history by moving 4 million+ phones in only days.

If you don't record something like this it will be lost forever, the best way to remember the past is to record it.

Great post. I searched in twitter for iphone 6 and the first picture is from this post.

The pilot from this airplane will be famous in some hours around the world.

Thanks Forum Police

I don't even know how to reply.... what, of anything that I posted, made me a policing figure? I suggested that if you don't care about iPhones on planes, don't click on the article... that's hardly policing.

Pretty much everything in America comes in a plane from China. :)

I don't think that's a trade secret.

Not the point.

Only authorized personnel gets to see what is coming from China.

He is violating a confidentiality clause the airline has with its clients.
Truckers don't post pictures of themselves with the freight they are carrying.

Would he have done the same with a load of superhero underwear for Walmart?

His 5 minutes of fame are now used up!

He said later in the original thread that he didn't sign an NDA, or non-disclosure agreement. So he's fine.

Doesn't really matter if he didn't sign a NDA, if Apple puts pressure on the freight company they will likely let him go. No one wants to be known as a company that lost their business with Apple.
