I have the black one but now looking @ those pics, I kind of wish I would have waited.. White does look Sexy!

A lot more people liked it before they found out they would have to wait an extra month for it and settled for a black iPhone.

It was Worth Returning my Black 32GB Today
I returned my Black 32GB iPhone 4 today because of excessive fingerprints it shows on back after looking at white I can say it was worth it.
M.I.C. gadget posts a series of photos showing Apple's forthcoming white iPhone 4, as well as the device's box, which appears identical to that of the black iPhone 4 with the exception of the color of the iPhone on the front of the box.
The photos come courtesy of a Japanese source who was able to obtain one through unknown means.
The white iPhone 4 was has been unavailable since Apple began taking pre-orders for the device in its launch markets in mid-June. The company announced just prior to the initial iPhone 4 launch late last month that availability of the white models will be delayed until the second half of this month due to manufacturing challenges.

the US Apple store has a place holder for it on their site that says coming soon. I'm sure they will sell it on line and in their stores. At$T will have them too. No way would Apple give Walmart an exclusive.

i am in the same boat! i have loved this phone for 3 years, but am resenting how sloooow it is since the iphone 4 came out.
lol, good point. i don't understand the animosity that people have for a color. i think the white looks clean and sleek

Not the only one. Seems a few others don't like it either. You folk can keep each other company while the rest of us rhapsodize about it's beauty and feel sorry that you can't see how lovely and very "untacky" it is
As much as this might sound bitter and nasty, but I very much hope you don't get a white one before us people who've waited for one.. there's people who solely want a black one but can't because, like you, people have bought a black version just cause you want to play with one while you wait for the white one.. It's the sad new age of instant gratification where people just can't wait for anything
The white looks nice, especially the pic of it in the dock, nice match. It would be far too much to ask to get a white MacBook to match even further though.
I'm hoping that having had to wait so long for launch of any sort in these parts will mean white is in straight away when it finally does happen. Maybe then NZ can go All White with iPhones as well ... and I don't even care about the soccer.
