Photos of WWDC 2007 Banners at Moscone West

sun's looking glass is a completely useless gimmick... wow, i can push my browser off on a slant to see my wonderfully exciting desktop, and i can watch a movie backwards by flipping the movie player in all directions... if apple is using anything from looking glass, it for sure would be for dashboard or the dock, and maybe time machine... but it's not as if it's required at all... and it's pretty lame... so let's hope they didn't adopt it...

true... but i hope you all know that Linux has been using an OS feature for years called "Work Spaces", and it's SHOCKINGLY exactly like Apple's "new" 10.5 feature which they have cleverly dubbed "Spaces"... :p

Definitely true that virtual desktops are not a new concept. I've been using them for at least a decade and I highly doubt the concept was brand new at that point.
 
Im afraid there will be no hardware announcements cause i dont see any hidden banners like last year! Damn!
And frankly what are we geting this year? Just top secret feature announcements of Leopard. Well who cares of announcements, the beta might be good but we ll sitll have to wait for fall, damn, damn!
Comeon now Apple give us more here, weve waited long enough (too late to ask for this now anyway), this WWDC just better be worth it! :mad:
 
Anyone else think the yellow-green combo is pretty ugly? Reminds me of Xbox or something...

So maybe the kill the Mac-Mini off and introduce a Mac (can't be pro.. thats taken) it is half the height of the Mac Pro and not as deep, but allows for a real graphics card and runs the same cpus as the MBPs, so it doesn't compete against the Mac Pros. Think mini-atx vs atx form factors.

2.2 - 2.4 GHz CD2
2 ram slots (max 4GB)
1 HD bay (with a 160GB drive)
1 Superdrive or combo
3 USB ports on back, one on front
2 Firewire 400 ports (one front, one back)
1 headphone jack on front
1 audio out on back
2 PCIXXXX slots (1 used for real gfx card) - Nvidia 7600 256mb
wifi, bluetooth..remote.. did I miss anything?

I'm with you. What could they possibly announce? The mac pro already is the fastest computer you can buy. Same with the Macbook Pro. The only thing they might announce is the death of the mac mini but a new "Mac". Thats it, just Mac. It will be the mid tower people have been wanting and finally incorporate the Core 2 Duo desktop chips. This is my prediction.

i could almost see them later this year putting all mac pros to 8core and make a mid tower with a single 4core processor, it would be the perfect halfway between the imac and the mac pro

Well, these are only the first floor banners. They could have covered banners on the second and third floor (which are nearly impossible to see from the outside).

I like this "Space" theme. Can't wait to see what Steve talks about on Monday!
 
I have no related to this post question, this is big and exciting event for MR and other similar stuff that gets on the main page. Majority they are good announcements. Why is there always negative votes? I mean if someone voted negative can they say why? Just curios.
 
I know this is really obvious but it looks so similar to the macworld banner and invites. The apple covering the light source... in this the X s covering the light source. Didnt steve say 2007 is the year if the mac or something queer like that a macworld. There HAS to be something big interms of hardware here...... Also there probably ARE covered banners beacuse something has to show the new leaopard features... unless there are none?


AND

the one that says "Large X covering time machine." My backside that that is time machine. Time machine didnt look like the sun last time. Its something else. Something hot and fiery.


Oh yeah.. I would love a black/3d interface. And add rocketfuel to you apps. Is that like nitrus for iphoto. I cant wait.

Everyone in this thread owes MUCH praise to Daniel Erhan for taking these pictures.

he boldly has done this for us two years in a row, and Daniel works EXTREMELY hard to provide us with what is perhaps THE BEST mac blog that has ever existed in my opinion, Roughly Drafted.

so if anyone agrees with me, lets give him some props, right here, right now, for the tremendous work he has done uncovering all the falsified crap that seeks to unseat Apple as the worlds leader in innovation and tech design.

Just not to make misleading posts, when i said hidden i meant covered! Remeber last year, banners covered with black clothing? I hope there are some on the upper floors. And where is that mac rumors james bond spy to take a few sneak peak shots of the upper floors this year anyway? :D

i've been saying this since last year:

PowerMac became Mac Pro
PowerBook became MacBook Pro
iBook became MacBook

therefore...

iMac (should become) Mac

makes sense doesn't it?
