iPhone 6.5.5?

Again, no point for anyone to upgrade unless they have a 5.
So I guess you work for Apple and already know every single new feature that's inside the device?

It always amazes me how many people make their upgrade decision based on how much it looks like last year's model. We literally know nothing about this thing except it most likely looks similar to the 6s and most likely drops the headphone jack. But we have NO idea if there's "no reason to upgrade".

meh. I’ve never liked the design as much as the 5 design. This is so much more slippery.

I will be picking one up however. I have an iPhone 6 and would like to have a faster processor, quicker touch-id, and 3D Touch.

And don't forget the RAM. It will have at least 2GB, or more is yesterday's rumour will be confirmed.
I'll stick with my 6s for another year, but I'd upgrade if I had an iPhone 6 or 5s

No. We know that the exterior looks largely the same and they'll have filled the interior with higher specs, which is just easy to predict, and brand new 'features' which are mostly gimmicky and barely anybody will actually use in real life other than to show their friends what's different about their iPhone 7. Just like what Apple have been doing for the past 3 years.

I'm not banking on dual/stereo speakers. Prior to the relocation of the headphone jack to the bottom of the phone, there was a symmetrical grill design on the bottom of the phone. It was often mistaken for stereo speakers, leading to a slew of "no sound coming from the left speaker" complaints and threads. It may just be cosmetic, as it was in prior designs.

Sorry, I can't get excited. It looks so dated already. Maybe it will look better for real. But those bezels and front... I've a hard time believing we will see lines in front of Apple shops.

Talking about their shops... did anyone read or heard anything about the shops in their latest conference call with quarterly earnings? They used to brag about the foot traffic and I was wondering if there is still an increase in traffic... The whole line up is dated (except the macbook and wristbands). I don't see compelling reasons to go there. Although this is one of the few areas they put a lot of effort in. Maybe Apple will ask entrance fee in the future like a museum of ancient art (the latter is my dutch humor)

I'm looking forward to finding out what's under the hood. I don't really care what the back and sides look like, since I'll only see them for a minute before the case goes on.

Billions of $$$, thousands of smart people, a year later and all they can come up with is this?
Really hard to understand that...

That's because Tim Cook's Apple isn't about innovation. It's about stability and safety. He's just keeping the old ship going rather than bothering to create anything new. TBH what Tesla is doing now is far more exciting than Apple. Tesla are the new Apple.

I can agree with this. The overwhelming silence from Apple on all fronts (hardware-wise) in recent months either scares me, or makes me really excited...

I want to think they are really concentrating all their time on something spectacular and truly groundbreaking, but only time will tell.

I checked, people liked Apple Pay and impatiently waited for it to come to their bank, more developers are starting to make good use of 3D Touch which if brought to the iPad could be the simple solution to the right click on a mouse, and people are definitely enjoying the screen size options (both plus and SE). Not seeing much gimmick.

Coming from someone who has owned 7 different macs, 6 different iPhones, 2 iPads and is a huge apple fan, This new iPhone does not get me excited at all. I know many of you seem to support the removal of the headphone jack, and reference the other apple risks that were right, but this is different. I don't need a thinner phone. That hasn't been an issue for me and I am sure most consumers since the iPhone 5. Because phones are used for so much right now, my biggest issue is battery life. I am constantly using my iPhone 6 with a mobile battery or lightning cable hanging from it WHILE using my beats or apple headset plugged in at the same time for work.

So why would I or any consumer who likes the option of a regular wired headset (which has also saved my phone from crashing to the grown at full speed MANY times while plugged in) want a thinner phone with the same battery life and now forced to use a dongle? Or now I have to switch to bluetooth in order to charge my phone at the same time while I listen to music. It is very anti consumer in more ways than any decision apple has made in the past. When apple got rid of the CD drive they didn't make an external super drive have to hook up to their mac through the magsafe. I think we can support apple and also recognize a really stupid decision. Now if headphones become standard with lightning ports and the iPhone magically improves its battery life dramatically I will shut my mouth.
