A new mockup?

How many tries will this guy get?

We always hear "this looks like the final" to be sure, till other comes out that is.

Its all rumours.

Seems like it is going to be a sad year for those of us who prefer a smaller phone. That thing dwarfs the 5/5s

Hobestly I hope the iPhone 6 looks nothing like this. It looks cheap and tacky, even the 5C will of looked more sophisticated. Not feeling a wow factor.

4.7 inch

6.7 mm

Americans are so odd. Pick a measuring system and stick to it

How can you measure in inches and mm on the same device?

Do we even know what a mm is?

And what is .7 inches anyway. Don't you mean 17/32 inches?

I still believe, if you want a bigger screen size for the stuff you do. Bring a tablet.
I mean, do you really need a bigger screen size for Whatsapp. Or quickly look up the bus timetable. If you want to read (articles/ books/other), bring a tablet.

Don't be so sensible!

Imagine when people start complaining they want a bigger face on their iWatch because they can't see what they're doing....you know its coming.

Might be the first time ever I don't rush to get an iPhone on the day of release, sad :(

Way, way too much bezel. If Apple releases a 4.7" iPhone which is nearly as large as a 5.1" Galaxy-brick, they sure won't be getting my money!

I can just hope these rumors are all wrong, and Apple has something a bit better up their sleeves.

I would love to see an edge-to-edge screen, possibly pushed out to align with the antenna bands (although a smaller TouchID-sensor might be necessary for this to work). Keep the sexy, flat sides with their chamfered edges, aligning to the top of the device. Get rid of the bottom chamfered edge and curve the flat sides just a tiny bit near the bottom to allow for a more comfortable grip (just like the iPad Mini/Air), however without sacrificing the ability to place the phone on its side for picture-taking.

Now that would be a great evolution of the iPhone-design if you ask me.

Apparently you never heard of 25.4.

It gets far worst in other industries, printing for example has its own measuring system.

It is called a caliper. A precision measuring device that in its digital form can switch between units at will.
Do we even know what a mm is?
Why wouldn't we?

Nope, it is extremely common to express fractional measurements this way.

Still too small the Note 3. I am enjoying my iPad Mini, i can see the text better.

I read the bible at least 15 minutes a day but I normally do so during my break at work. Much easier using my Note 3 than a tablet that collects dust at home. Fits in the pocket yet the screen is big enough without scrolling every 10 seconds. And watching movies during my workout is also a pleasure. I don't think this size bump to 4.7" will be big enough.

I hope these rumors prove incorrect. I don't want a phone larger than the current 5S / 5C phones.

Well, your current phone will still work perfectly I hope for many years to come, so there will be no reason at all for you to change it for a very ling time. Perhaps some time after Apple stops supporting it?

Am I the only one who hates the rounded edges on the mockup? I like that my phone can be stood on its sides without a silly kickstand.

Ditto. Really hoping apple doesn't go back to the round ed corners like the 3g.

Looks like we're going to lose quality in the external speaker and phone microphone.

It's what happened with the thin iMacs when they were released. Thinness and good audio don't work hand in hand.

Why would you want your phone to stand on the sides ?

The 3G had a nice grip compared to my iPhone 5 though. Definitely more ergonomic.

I don't get comments dismissing a larger iPhone option.
In order for Apple to thrive, it needs to generate revenue through upgrades and new form factors. This inevitably means larger screens and faster processors. Change is good.

That said, it would be nice to have Apple stand by their previously stated reason for smaller displays--that being one hand operation. Keeping the iPhone 5s around is the likely scenario.

But I would love to see three new iPhone 6's with same processor, but at different sizes 4, 4.7 and 5.5"
Kind of like the iPad and iPad mini approach.

But it looks ugly. I was looking at my old 3g the other day and it amazes me how people (including myself) thought it was a sleek design.

I think it's the bezel that's the most confusing part-for me anyway.

Looking at all the videos/pics it seems like it's the same size as my N5 but then I see other photos and it looks a lot bigger.

It would be nice if they could reduce the size of top of the phone but that doesn't look like that's gonna happen.

This is bizarre. The iPhone 6 has not been released yet but there is already a comparison with the S5. However, I will not be surprised that the mockup will more or less represent what Apple will be releasing. That's how bad Apple has been in keeping its impending releases a "top secret". At this moment, I have to say that I am not really excited about this release. I have waited and pleaded for far too long. I will just adopt a wait and see attitude as to what other "exciting" features are included in the iPhone 6. A long battery life would one plus.

Am I the only one who doesn't want a bigger screen? I don't want to carry a tablet in my pocket. I want my phone to be as small as possible.

Which is why apple will most likely keep the 4.0 for stubborn consumers who insist on using screens for ants. While introducing the a bigger screen for those of us who want a reasonable size screen for reading and videos.

INB4 Samsung sues Apple for enlarging their iPhone screen size
we all know that Apple will be suing Samsung for enlarging Samsung phone screen sizes, even if it doesn't make sense. :D

Clearly Samsung went into the future to see Apple's innovations and then returned to the past to copy Apple. Simple.

I think the home button is here to stay, but it's painfully obvious that the top bezel could be reduced significantly. I guess keeping it symmetrical with the bottom bezel also creates extra space for battery and and components, but at the expense of retaining a smaller form factor.
