iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 - Telstra - Australia

iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 - Telstra Australia
Hi all

I have managed to obtain visual info that the two iPhone will be released - the 4S and the iPhone 5 as indicated in Telstra PDF's for advertising. All of these ads also mention 4G with the iPhone 4S / iPhone 5 as well. These will be released on the Telstra network - iPhone 5 - November 28. NOTE: One of the ads mentions Steve Jobs, so this will need to be changed to Tim Cook, but other than these this is info of two iPhones being released and the release date in Australia. NOTE these are only new because Telstra has only just recently changed its corporate identity logo and colours and just released the 4G network in Australia in the last 2 weeks.

NOTE: A3 in the PDF's indicates the print size for the Ads - nothing else.

Much like the "contact patch" on automobile tires, the contact area between your fingers and the phone determines the control you have - more contact = more control. By design, the curved edges of the 3G/3GS fall away from your fingers, reducing the surface area in contact with your fingers, whereas the flat sides of the 4 allow much more contact. In addition, the curved edges allow the contact point between your fingers and the phone to "rock" or change in response to minor muscle movements. The 4 allows a more consistent grip without this rocking or slipping. These are the primary reasons for the better control and more confident grip evident in the 4.

So, from a "purely ergonomic" standpoint, the 4 is, of course, much better.

My hand is not a hollowed out cube, ergo (pun intended), I preferred the 3GS. iPhone 4 is aesthetically more pleasing, although any phone that as I've previously mentioned, can make my hand go to sleep, probably won't be winning any awards for ergonomics.

I still think this one is the best :(
