Placed order on the 12th for an iPhone 6 and a 6+. Card charged today for both. Will pickup at the Ala Moana Apple Store in Honolulu.

Store personal pickup

Went to Stanford shopping center apple store to get a connector and asked about preorder pickup.

They said get there early. Seems counterintuitive. But they say that preorders trickle in all day long but the line gets really backed up due to the fact that they now require you to activate the phone there (personal pickup only, I think) and their systems start to slow down as everyone tries to get their phones activated.

Of course the Palo Alto area is ground zero for iPhone adoption so this is probably a worst case scenario.

picking mine up apple 5th ave on friday. i couldn't believe it i ordered the phone around 6am friday morning and it had the option to pick up at 5th ave on the 19th

Every order I have ever made with Apple has always started with a "W" so I don't know what you mean by "safe".
And I have ordered every single iPhone and iPad there has been and one mini.

There was some confusion as Apple was sending messages that said "We have an iPhone for you" with a reservation number starting with a B. These messages were sent out when the Apple Store was unable to connect to the carriers. This held a phone until the next day to order. After some people received the B reservation numbers, they were able to try again and receive a completed order with a W. Then a few ours later they received emails that they were able to purchase their phone. It was very confusing and we were trying to convey that if you had a B number and not a W, that a phone would not be waiting for you on Friday.

Reserved at Watford (UK) 128GB Silver iPhone 6.

Managed to get a lunch time slot between 12 and 1pm. Hopefully there won't be a queue, as I've only got an hour, and I'll need to pop to EE and get a new Nano SIM.

I'm glad I don't have a B order so sorry for those people, hope it works out for them

Oh, OK.
Thanks for the explanation!

I bet he (or she) is a hoot at parties. :D

Hoot hoot! (I'm just jealous because I did delivery rather than in store pick up at the tax free Pheasant Lane myself. Although $24 to not deal with the apple store on release day with my newborn in tow is worth it.) :)

Was just giving you a hard time. I don't blame you! :)

nope 6+ 64gb in gold
I'm also picking mine up at the 5th Ave store. Do you know if they are having a special line for preorders?

BTW - you're lucky with that 6 am time. I ordered mine at 3 am and by the time I got into the site to order the plus, all they had no 64 GB left in space gray. Since I only wanted space gray I went with the 128 GB. You may have timed it perfectly because at 3:30 am the only 64 GB left was in silver so maybe they "restocked".

So is this charge the real charge? Or is it just another place holder that will disappear?

Picking up my AT&T Space Gray 6+ at Woodland on the 19th after work. I hope that:

1) They have my 6+ there and ready
2) I'm able to pick it up since I'm not an account holder (authorized user, however)

On paper, neither should be an issue but hopefully there's no hiccups.

Has to be authorized by buyer in the purchase, bring card

i tried apples website, app and verizons site at 3am. apples app and site was down and verizons kept giving me errors. i guess i did get lucky unless they were throwing back peoples orders with different shipping addresses than their billing addresses.

from what I'm hearing there will be a pick up line and a new order line. when i picked up my iPhone 5 it wasn't release day but it was when apple was letting you order at 10pm on their website for next day pick up and i got to pick it up at the prince street store. i waited about 45 minutes to about an hour there to pick it up and they had to activate it and what not, I'm expecting friday to be a 2 hour ordeal
