Pick Up In Store Thread

from what I'm hearing there will be a pick up line and a new order line. when i picked up my iPhone 5 it wasn't release day but it was when apple was letting you order at 10pm on their website for next day pick up and i got to pick it up at the prince street store. i waited about 45 minutes to about an hour there to pick it up and they had to activate it and what not, I'm expecting friday to be a 2 hour ordeal

Mine is AT&T and I think Verizon had more availability than AT&T.

Question for everyone. I'm an authorized user and I also used my CC for the purchase so all good on that end. However, I'm using my wife's upgrade for my phone. Will I have any activation issues, i.e., I don't want it activated with her number and I know the phone comes pre-setup for that.

I'll let you know how it works out.. I will be heading over after I drop hoot jr. at middle school.. I should get there around 8:30.
I'm sure my jammies will go over HUGE :p
And doing store pickup saves me from waiting at the town line for the UPS guy with his coffee and donuts!
 
I am sick? I'm excited to go to the preorder line and scoff at the other line of people waiting to Mabey get the phone of their choice..
 
I pre-orded for store pick up.

Does anyone know if Apple will do a trade-in that day or will I have to mail in my old phone?

I read somewhere that you can do a trade in that day, but you won't be able to use that credit/gift card for the purchase since you already put it under your credit or debit card?

Good point. I'll just mail in and save the card for my next Apple purchase.
 
I have AT&T and today I brought an old iPhone 4 into the store and they saw my receipt for my purchase and processed a $200 credit for me. I then immediately had them apply that credit against my normal AT&T account. It couldn't have gone any smoother. However, I am purchasing two new iPhones and only showed them the receipt for the AT&T purchase and not the one for the store pickup. I don't know if it would work for a phone purchased through Apple.

If they will still give you the $200 credit trade-in for an iPhone purchased through Apple and not ATT.

Same here. I would trade my iPhone 4 for $200.

eta: Just checked AT&T Trade-in page, only $50.

Finally just saw my bank card get charged about an hour ago.

I ordered 2 iPhone 6 (6 and 6+).

Had a huge dilemma on 12th, Apple site was down like for most of you, after 2.5hours of refreshing, VPN, Proxy, different devices etc I finally got an order in, and then quickly placed my 2nd order as well -- within about 15mins after the website started working normally.

Got the 64GB Gold's can't wait to pick them up on Friday :D

I think that's because everyone wanted to avoid that location and chose all the others first. I ended up getting mine there when I ordered at 7AM because it was the only place left still doing in-store pickup.

BTW - you're lucky with that 6 am time. I ordered mine at 3 am and by the time I got into the site to order the plus, all they had no 64 GB left in space gray. Since I only wanted space gray I went with the 128 GB. You may have timed it perfectly because at 3:30 am the only 64 GB left was in silver so maybe they "restocked".

I logged in around 7AM and was able to get the 6+ space gray 64gig. I guess it depends on the carrier you were trying to order for? I'm still with AT&T.
 
I ordered for delivery. I'm thinking of calling and trying to get store pickup.

Am I wrong that Stores won't have the 6+ in stock at all? I was wondering if I did store pickup, I could change it to the 6+ if I wanted - but if they won't have ANY stock, then I'll have it delivered

When is your delivery date? If it is this Friday, I would leave it alone.

I'm sure there will be some stock of pluses. Apple has not said otherwise. I'm sure they would announce if no plus models would be available. They only sold out of pre-order and p/u allotment. Those are different inventory baskets than retail gets.

Yes, if they have one in stock when you p/u your existing order you can switch.
