Pick Up In Store Thread

quick question about activation...I'm on a family plan. Dad is account holder, but he made me an authorized user. Using the upgrade from my mom's line. Does my dad have to be present when I pick up the phone? Everything I've read said he doesn't, but I just got off the phone with an Apple rep who said he does.

He shouldn't have to be there with you. When I did the same thing with my iP5 two years ago it worked without a hitch. Just be sure to bring 2 or 3 forms of ID with you and especially the card that was used to place the order.

Funny - if you got there that late at the NYC 5th Ave store (where I have my pickup), you would probably have to wait for hours. I'm planning on getting there relatively early, but am still expecting a long wait.

Glad that everyone is getting their emails.. we still have a regular member or two in this thread that hasn't chimed in. Hopefully we'll hear good news soon
 
Still trying to figure out what time I want to go, I don't want to get caught in the morning rush so I'm thinking around noon, the lunch rush shouldn't be horrible at my apple store

I wish I could do that.. Have work at 10 am so hoping 2 hours will suffice..
 
I have never done a pre-order and in store pickup before. Does that line generally not get as long and move faster than the walk-in line?
 
I've just joined the reservations line here in Aberdeen, Scotland. Arrived 7.05 and am 5th in line. Around 200 in the walk in line. Reservation definitely the way forward. Apple store employees letting us have a go on the 6 and 6 Plus. Feel great in the hand!

Brilliant. I'm coming from a HTC one m8. The iPhone feels brilliant in the hand and is so light in comparison. Glad I went for the 6th. Good to be back!

Got my email in the later afternoon but got busy at work to care. Bay Street Emeryville doesn't let anyone line up till 5am so I'm just hanging out at home till then.
