I do have the white bezel but at my current location I feel the more protection the better. I have added an anti glare screen as well. When I return stateside I will hardly use this case. In it's place will be a simple Smart Cover (leather maybe light tan).

Here is my setup. Allows me to use a hardshell and when I don't want to I have some protection with the sticker backing.

these are pricey. and less leather than there should be. but i like the one they make for the iMac/thunderbolt displays... like a padding for the bottom. but the iPad case seems like more wool than leather.

how do you like it?

It's nice and definitely well made. I wish it was more loose, so that a smart cover equipped iPad could slip in easier. The flap is also kind of awkward; I don't know whether to fold it into the leather pocket, the main compartment, or leave it as is.

After trying numerous cases (About 8 different ones) I landed on this and more than likely my last case for a long time. The Moko 360 case from amazon. Up until this case I was using a Poetic strapback folio case but the sleep wake function didn't work even after sending it back and getting a replacement. The Moko works flawlessly and is much easier to prop up in stand mode.

After a scary fall in my truck with my smart cover and back cover, I decided I needed more protection. I called up Verizon and in two days I had the Defender shipped to me. Needless to say, after my issues with the iPad 1 case, I was unimpressed. When I got the new case I was pleased to find out that the problems I had with the previous version were gone.

I've decided to keep the current screen protector until my Invisible Shield gets here. Then I will pop out the current one and install the Invisible Shield.

This was done with Siri dictation BTW. Love it!

that's unfortunate to hear about the Strapback, I'm surprised they didn't give you a working replacement. Anyways they say rotating folios tend to be bulky.. do you find your Moko 360 bulkier than the strapback?

the only thing i think could improve is they could put in a removable cover for the speaker, as well as a film over the camera and sensor/front camera part. seems pointless to have all the protection and still let dust and dirt in through those parts. I ended up taking the plastic front part off anyways, i hated the glare it produced, so now its just an anti glare screen and its pretty easy for dirt and dust to collect.

I think otter box should go all out and provide tighter seals as well as cover everything that can be covered... like a pelican case. that would be real protection. but all the same, one drop the wrong way and poof... cases do nothing.

Had I sent the Poetic back again I might of got one where the sleep wake function works but Honestly I didn't want to keep bothering and I hated the fact that I had to unlatch the bottom two parts that hold the iPad to use the stand mode every time I wanted to stand it up and the late on the case is TIGHT and I worry it'll wear the iPad over time. The MoKo uses the strap to hold it shut so no worries of wear and the entire casing that holds the iPad moves freely and sits in the slots when using stand mode so no unlatching. As far as thickness goes it's only slightly thicker and barely noticeable just due to the extra flap that allows the 360 rotation. All in all I love the Moko case and it's incredibly lightweight and feels nice.

that's good to hear (about the Moko case, not the Poetic). I had a similar experience with a Targus case that used the same claw design. It was a bitch to unlatch the bottom parts for use in stand mode. I thought the Poetic design would've been easier as in the videos. Btw before buying the strapback, did you consider the hardback at least? that one has a magnetic bottom part for easier unlatching.

I really like your case. Can you please tell me the name of it?

The case is the Griffin Intellicase. At this point, I'm having second thoughts about recommending it. Initially I really liked this case. However, I noticed some defects in the original pink case and the replacement case was also defective. Then the red case that I've been using for only one week is showing signs of wear. The part of the cover that rests in the back slot is mushing out and almost looking frayed.

So for right now, I continue to search for a better case.

What a shame, thanks for letting me know. I guess I'll continue my search as well.

^^^ that keyboard looks pretty cool. When it's closed with the ipad, do the keys go up against the screen? The link didn't mention it i think.
I just picked up a Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover today at a local Best Buy in the SF Bay Area ($99 +tax). The keys do not touch the screen at all, they are recessed just like on a Macbook Pro. I was able to take a sheet of notepaper around the size of a check and it slid from top to bottom without a problem (holding the iPad in portrait mode). It pretty much dropped free.

If you hold it up edgewise to the light, I'd say maybe 1mm of space.

It does seem to resist sliding in the paper over the non-keyboard part though, maybe about three inches from either the top or bottom in portrait mode. It doesn't seem to touch the screen, maybe the resistance is because that is where the hinge is at.

I'm at a conference right now (hence the need for the new toy), but I'll try to put up pics in a day or two.

This is with the new iPad (3) 64GB WiFi.

My generic 360 deg. portfolio case came this week. the sleep/wake function doesnt work though. It was only $30, do you think I should just keep it?? I really like it other than that.

$30 and no sleep wake? Return that. You can get that generic stuff for well under 20 and some of those work properly. If you had paid half of that I wouldn't be mad

Seller said I could exchange but their not sure if the new ones work. Lol

I love this case.
