I was really hoping for a last.fm type of service. Hopefully it'll grow from this infancy stage.. If they expand it to talk with your library and not just your store activity, I could see it being more interesting. Mostly a fail as it is right now though, IMO.

I'm still pissed I can't change my name to my own. Instead of my name it's the cardholders name for the Billing info.. ahaha. Stupid. I can't help it's under my mother's credit card as I don't have one and don't plan on having one for a while. I still pay for what I purchase, so what the hell!
You can change your name can't you? Just go to edit profile and lets you change name to anything.
We as early users have to make it interesting. Like right now, when I'm listening to music, I go find it and post a comment, "Currently" so it shows up on my stream.
The thing is when you change your name it changes the billing address' name to that as well and I'm not the CC holder.
Yeah, it's awful. Lol. Oh well. I'm hoping future updates and iterations of Ping solve many of the problems seen in this early version. It's not very 'social'. It seems more as a way to help Apple make more money.

Facebook has banned Ping from using it's friend sharing API

It's okay. I think it's for the better. I think the problem would be the huge server load. I mean, aren't developers limited to how many API calls can happen within a certain period of time? 1,000,000 all at once is a bit much.
I made it myself. I'll post the template up if you guys want in a bit. I have a forum one up already, but I thought it was useless to post here since it can't be used on MR.
