it's only a day old, i'm giving it time, all things are a bit iffy at the start
I don't get this argument. Just because it was just released, doesn't mean things couldn't been fine tuned during the y'know, development of it.
I can't figure out how to make a post on my Ping account on my computer. And I can't figure out how to set it up on my iPhone. When I go to it in the iTunes app on the iPhone, it simply says that "To try Ping, open iTunes 10 on your Mac or PC, then click Ping in the iTunes Store".
Well maybe they wanted to get a nice stable system up then add more features as time goes on. Nothing ever starts off with everything people want straight away.
Yeah, another thing they're doing is testing the servers. You want to be able to see how the basics work before adding blogs, scribbling, etc that hogs the server. They could take away a feature and add something new and save resources that way.
I've synced multiple times and have reset both the computer and phone. No luck. And does anyone know how to make a post on Ping? I can't figure this out.
No posting feature yet, will be in the future probably. I think they're figuring out how to handle the spam problems that would result from it. Try rebooting your phone.

There's a 500 friend limit on Ping, just thought you'd like to know (I just tested it). LOL.

i've wondered why apple has never added a "punk" genre to the itunes store. it's a legitimate classification that has tons of artists/bands to go into it.
i've been emailing all my friends that have iphones/ipods/itunes about ping trying to get them to join up. i'll wait and see if they do...
To be honest, the whole following what your are buying is not going to work out. Here at college, I don't know if you guys have heard of this program, we have a program called Mojo. If you are on the network and are within I think a good 30 yards of your computer, you can access someones iTunes library and download the songs they have straight into your computer. It's basically taking a flash drive to their computer, pulling the songs off and putting them on your own computer without the middle man. It's really nice but no one I know truly buys their music on iTunes. It's a sad world but it's the reality of it. I will only use Ping to follow Jack Johnson because he seems to be more active on that then on Facebook.
