Apple did update Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and all the others even after the release of creator studio but NOT PIXELMATOR PRO !! So we are stuck on 3.7.1

Apple also shows that they use the creative app : https://support.apple.com/en-us/guide/pixelmator-pro/pix96e754af4/macos

They also never said that they will continue to update this app like they said for others...

So yeah we are deadass guys...

PS: App Store listing two different versions of Pixelmator Pro side-by-side:

I would suspect since Apple "JUST" purchased it a little while ago, they need time to make it work for their new agenda.

Probably was not ready for the release and just added it to show what is up for the future.

But who knows.

If someone who just purchased the subscription and used Pixelmator Pro before can tell us what is different besides just a fresh face lift and a new paint job, then we will really know what's happening.

The fact they still list it on the creator page as available for one time purchase if they don't actually update it is rather scummy..
I found out that Apple says that :

- For Final Cut Pro, some features might be exclusive to the creator studio version but the app will still be updated

- For Logic Pro, both versions have the same features…

BUT for Pixelmator pro, they only says that there is a one time purchase « version » available on the App Store ! This means that they might remove it at some point…

Yes, if they don't intend to update it, they should clearly state the old version is available for one time purchase, not that it is available for one time purchase which implies the same version.

This is definitely the first time I've ever heard "this app is available as a one-time purchase" phrased as "one-time purchase of this app is dead."
