If I was you I'd steal clear of JailBreaks.

As you obviously don't have a clue what you are talking about.

I have experience since I jxxbrxxxd my iPhone 3G and I was very into this type of thing when I had it. It was all about memory for me then. So I looked it up and dig deeper and it came to my suprise that jailbreak actually made the device jaggered up. Theres so much code and its not supposed to be jailbroken. Thats why the device acts odd and you will notice "lag" on the phone once jailbroken. Besides - If you dont notice the lag you will notice it after installing some tweaks such as winterboard.

Its gotta eat something.... its hungry ;) but I agree it CAN become a bit sluggish with winderboard things which is a reason why I tend to avoid those.

You guys...

Planetbeing has stated that they are going to keep ONE bug for themselves. To make the exploit work, it needs 4+ bugs. Once 6.1 is released, they need to find ONE more bug so that they can release it without using the bug they want to keep. It could still be weeks, months until the jailbreak is actually released. Don't get your hopes up, because it most likely won't be immediate or within 2 weeks after the release.

If you want the JB so bad, you need to hope that all the bugs they use are broken in 6.1 which Planetbeing stated they would release it then because there's no point in keeping it.

I prefer to look from an optimistic perspective. You may be correct but you also may be wrong.

Yea exactly, it's the installed tweaks that cause lag.

That said, even Winterboard has been upgraded so as not to cause much lag on any modern iOS device.

You are correct about the iphone 3G lagging when JB. Matter of fact the 3G lagged like hell even on stock 4.2.1
But compare an iphone that came out about 4-5 years ago with todays iphone 5 with 1GB of ram compared to 256MB, a very fast cpu/gpu and plenty of hardware updates its not the same thing you experienced many years ago.
The 4S doesnt have any problems running plenty of JB packages including winterboard and many other intensive processes without breaking a sweat.
So Im sure the even faster iphone 5 will do fine once jailbroken.

I just installed dashboard x and it causes my springboard to crash all the time. I really like having the music widget on my home screen so I'm debating whether I should keep it.

False! Erroneous! Blasphemous! :D

A 3g, no s*** it lags…..

My 4S on 5.1.1 loaded with tweaks and app does not lag and does not eat RAM.

Only very few people still use a 3g, you yourself have a IP5, which is lightyears further in speed and memory.

Not to throw cold water on everyone's excitement, but Planetbeing is pretty clear that this jailbreak will not be released as it is even after 6.1 is released. It relies on an internal exploit that the Devs are simply unwilling to burn...period. So unless it becomes clear that Apple has discovered it independently (e.g., if it is patched in betas of 6.2 or 7) we're not going to see this any time soon.

Right.

I don't understand why everyone assumes with 6.1 a new jailbreak will drop.

The only way we would see a jailbreak immediately is if Apple patched it in 6.1, thus forcing the devs to release one for 6.0.1/6.0.2, to get some mileage out of it.

Yeah he stated this in his Twitter as well. Unless the patch becomes evident, the jailbreak won't be released. We need Geohot to push the limits again, as much as I hate to say it.

So what is the point in even announcing its existence?

The doubters always switch to the next argument: they didn't show
prove!

It's not only a possible JB 6.1 brings, also some fixes.

Agreed that the devs will hang on to the JB unless the main exploit is closed in 6.1

iOS 7 will probably release with the 5S release, they might want to wait for that, to have a JB for all devices, that is usually what they aim for: wide coverage.

I held on to 5.1.1 because 6.x didn't bring anything really new, however the first apps are now appearing that require 6.x that will be a consideration for the devs as well.

To get attention. There really isn't any other reason at this point.

Maybe consider informing people not to upgrade to 6.1 as there is a chance that the JB won't work for it.

I genuinely starting to question your motives for posting on MR...
What have those guys done to you to put them down with every comment you make?

Did they though? Nope.

I haven't put anyone down bro. Go quote my comments and lets see what, exactly, I said about them.

What have they done to me? They kicked my dog...
