My vita comes in today with a free 4gb memory card. I was wondering if you can use multiple memory cards with one vita and one psn account? So when the 4gb fills up I can go get another card and just swap them out to use whatever is on each card.

No you can't.
Basically, you can use the 4GB card until you decide you want a new one. Then you need to copy the data off the 4GB on to a PS3 or computer, then fit the new larger card and copy it back on. Unlike the last PSP you can't just hop memory cards around freely.
It's pretty annoying, but I think it's DRM related.
Pardon? You certainly can swap memory cards, but it doesn't work the same as a PSP. You have to turn off the device, remove the card, insert the new card (You may have to rebuild the database). All your bubbles will return to default positions but Live Areas and wallpaper etc will be unaffected.
The memory card is tied to that account/vita, similar to how HDD is tied to the PS3/Account, that is the DRM part of it.
You can swap memory cards on the same Vita/Account, but not from one Vita to another. Hopefully that clears up any mis-given information.
Say I wanted to upgrade the vita in a year or so if sony released a thinner model or new color, I would have to get new memory cards as well?
The memory card system def isn't as easy as it was on the PSP.
Because I would hate to lose my data on my memory cards if I wanted to upgrade to another vita down the road.
So how is everyone finding their Vita's a week on from launch? My experience has been very bad, and also very good. The thing looks beautiful, I really love the design and could look at it all day long (much like I feel about my Apple products). The games I have been playing (Uncharted, Wipeout, Fifa, Hustle Kings, Top Down Darts, and the included AR games) have been great. Especially loved Uncharted, go pick it up!!
HOWEVER, I have been utterly disappointed with the screen, I love Playstation, so the last thing I want to do is bash the console, and I am not bashing it, I love it. But I had to go through 3 Vita's before I had one which was ok (only OK, nothing more). My first Vita's screen wasn't calibrated correctly, and the second one had horrible grain all the way across the screen. My 3rd one also has grain but not as bad as the last, so I have settled. It's a disgrace.
I have never had to do this with an Apple product, and I can't believe Sony went through with these screens, the problem is extremely widespread apparently. Anyway, I am picking up Unit 13 next week, and I am considering Shinobido 2, anyone played it yet?
How have your Vita's been thus far?
Fair enough, like I said, I love mine, but this is my first experience with an OLED scree, yes it is vibrant and produces some really nice colours. But the streaking is horrible.I have yet to hear anything but praises for the screen, short of a few people whining about issues that affect every OLED display. My screen is vibrant and better than any portable display I've seen.
Not doubting you, well maybe doubting your eyesight a bit![]()

The launch titles seem to be very bright, I do worry when we get some survival horror games and those streaks really start to show.
Anyway, some more positive news is that Sony are holding a press conference on the 9th and are apparently going to outline some new games and future services for the Vita, quite excited for this. I am praying for a Gran Turismo game, or GTA - either would be awesome.
I'm curious as to whether you guys own a Console like PS3/Xbox already, and what factor made you guys jump on the PSVita?
I guess I'm having trouble justifying buying a PSVita... It looks great and so do the specs; but I'm not loving the lineup of games so far :/
Gran Turismo Vita, coming 2016.
I would absolutely love some ports on this thing. I'd buy Skyrim, Oblivion, GTA4, San Andreas, Dark Souls, Monster Hunter. Hell I'd even be tempted to pick up a Call of Duty game.
New games in those series would be good too but I'd be happy with ports this early in a consoles life.
LBP Vita will own my life. I hope they detail that in the conference.
That sounds about right, if not a little earlyGran Turismo Vita, coming 2016.
I have a PS3, and switching files between vita and ps3 is so simple, I download all vita games onto the ps3 first, its a lot quickerI'm curious as to whether you guys own a Console like PS3/Xbox already, and what factor made you guys jump on the PSVita?
