Taken today, about 3 hours on the phone, about an hour of surfing, and the rest was listening to the iPod.

This is not even a problem anymore. My 3g iphone lasts me a good 3 days.

This is my current usage. This is mostly just browsing the web and watching videos though. Pretty good for a 1st Gen I'd say.

This is right after 10% warning came on. I'm pretty happy with it, lasted me the entire day and I didn't charge overnight. So 24 hours with 6 hours of usage is pretty good IMHO. Most of that was texting/calls. Not much browsing.

Im on 3g for the most part, but last night when I was at like 50% i turned edge on and turned GPS off and wifi off because I wanted it to last.. looks like I dont need to worry too much about that.

Usage: 6 Hours, 19 Minutes
Standby: 1 Day, 0 Hours

My phone is crazy

I recently bought an used 2g iphone. Initially it would barely run a day. then suddenly it would die in 6hrs with usage of about 2 hrs. After a day or so, it stopped charging. After googling a bit, i tried out random things to charge as well of increase battery life. these included:
1) restoring iphone
2) turning on-off
3) toggling silent ring button 4 times and then turning off 🙂eek:😱😕😕)

Then i changed the settings:

Push - off
Fetch data - manual
brightness - 30-40%
Autobrightness - on
Wifi- when needed

With these settings and after all those crazy attempts, I got around 3-3.5 hrs usage ( wifi - about 1 hr, 1hr-talk time, rest games) and standby time of 1 day 14 hrs. Still 55% battery left!!!
