First is just after 20% warning, second is just after 10% warning. And I must say that I was able to get a good hour/hour and a half of video watching after I got the 10% before it died. I was trying to calibrate my battery anyway, so yeah :) .

Hey guys, how long does it take you the do a full charge from when you get the 20% message ?

Mine takes, 1 hour to get to 80% full then another hour for the last 20%. So 2 hours in total.

Today I bought another cheap power supply from eBay, and it charges it fully within 1h 40mins !!

i replaced my phone a couple of weeks ago due to the silent/ringer swtich falling off, after one full charge i got amazing usage, granted I have never had this much again but the battery is still far better than my first gen

Your data usage is off the charts. 1.1 gigs cellular download....damn! I'd be super happy with that kind of battery life. If you look at all these high usage numbers, most are with almost no data usage.

Avoid cheap power supplies, they can damage your battery. If the voltage is not the same as an official charger, you will most surely damage your battery over time.

The Apple charger's voltage:
Input: 100 240V ~ 50/60 Hz 1.0A
Output: 5V 1A

I've had the phone since day 1 and almost all of my internet usage is through WIFI. If you like, I can reset my data and see if there's a difference.

I feel like my battery sucks, lol, I never get over 6 hours when NOT listening to music. Usually like 4-5.

This is pretty much JUST listening to music with Wifi off.

Is this good or bad battery life for just music and no wifi?

Also, every time I turn off Location features, it gets turned back on as soon as I use an App that gets my location. What's the point of that?

wifi data usage is NOT counted towards the data usage figures..

Sorry. My fault. I wasn't clear on the information provided. The usage info given was based off of the last full charge. I didn't do much 3G internet browsing on that particular charge.

This is my lastest screenshot. I decided to do no 3G internet usage (and no Wifi too :p). Also reset my data usage and call time period to better monitor what I was doing on the lastest full charge. All settings still the same. Did 2 hours talk time and about 1 hour of music.

I haven't been too pleased with battery performance. I expected better battery performance after all of the hoopla about battery tech preventing 3G inclusion on the first go round.

3G: ON
WiFi: ON
Push: ON
Fetch: OFF
Location Service: OFF
Bluetooth: OFF
Brightness: 80%

This is a 2g phone, About 2 hours of usage were ipod.

3g - N/A
Edge - OFF 24/7
WiFi on 80% of the time, used about 30%
Location on 80% of the time
FETCH/PUSH/BLUETOOTH always off.
Brightness at 35% with autobrightness. I think once I get autodim for it it will help.

All in all though, this was pretty impressive. I probably could of squeezed out another 2 hours of standby but didnt want to push it.

This is pretty damn good for a 2g iphone isn't it?

3G: on
WiFi: on
Bluetooth: on
GPS: on
Push: on
Fetch: on, 30 minutes
Brightness: about 75%

WiFi was in-and-out; same for 3G. A couple hours of talk time, and the rest was mostly listening to music.

Any of your guy's usage INCLUDED video/movie watching? I'm curious how that'll affect your overall battery life for that charge ( I know it'll drain quicker but by how much).

Does this look right

It fully died last night. 3g, location, Bluetooth are all off.
I'm at work, so wasn't using it much.

I'm retarded and don't know how to post my pix. My stats are:
3 hours 42 min. Usage
6 hours 42 min standby

I've had this phone since 7/11 and I always left it shut down before charging. I don't know what to think. I just got a 10% warning. Booooo

Oh, and the brightness is way down, like 10%-15%

3G: On
Wifi: Off
Bluetooth: Off
Location: On
Push: Off
Fetch: 15mins
Brightness: 25-30% roughly.

I unplugged the device this morning at 5:45am when I left for work. Since then I've downloaded one app, read a few emails, and mainly left either Pelringo or Safari open to beejive with it locking after 2 minutes.

It's been about 4 hours and approaching the 20% warning already. This is pretty horrible battery life. Is leaving an aim app or beejive open killing the battery that much?

I've only had the phone for 3 days and I've only been able to get to about noon before getting the 20% warning. Last night I completely drained the battery and charged over night as well.

BeeJive (not sure if AIM does the same) will kill your battery quickly because it must maintain a constant Wifi connection to send and receive messages. This is unlike Safari where you will notice the round status orb stops once a page is loaded.

I've had my iPhone for 3 days now. It's been through 2 cycles of battery charging. My battery is decent but I hope it gets some of these amazing numbers that I'm seeing on this thread.

3G: on
Wifi: on
Bluetooth: off
Location services: off
Brightness: 25 percent
Auto brightness: on

Some iPod usage. Some youtubing. Some talking. Lots of aim and texting. Lots of Intenet usage.

I don't know how to post pics from my iPhone so here are the stars. If you know how to post a pic from you iphone please let me know.

6 hours of usage
17 hours of standby

3.2MB sent
54MB received

There's still a major flaw with the way everyone is reporting usage.

When you say Wifi On, please make it clearer if you've just left Wifi on but it's not associated with a network, or if it is on and you are connected to a network and are doing your browsing/email/whatever over wifi.

Two different people can say "Wifi: On, 3G: On" and it can mean two completely different things. In the case where wifi is on but NOT associated with any network (it's just searching for kicks) and you're using 3G for your connection, you will get MUCH less time out of the battery. But if they are both on and you ARE connected to wifi, that will very much increase usage time (if you are doing a lot of browsing/email/youtube etc..)
