Yikes. My delivery date is 12/5 - 12/11 so I checked Best Buy and they’re still 11/10. I tried to order from Best Buy but it won’t let me now because I already ordered from Apple so now I’m not eligible ☹️

I'm on a family plan, and there were three available upgrades, but Best Buy didn't even ask for my carrier info, which I assume is because I bought the phone outright.
Silver 256GB, AT&T, confirmation email received at 3:06 AM ET. Delivers November 3rd.
By FAR the easiest preorder I've ever had (and I do this every single year lol).
I was successful through Apple.com on my MacBook - the Apple Store app on my phone seemed to be a few minutes behind.

Like others, the ship times directly from Apple was not as good from carriers or 3rd parties. I ordered a 256 T-mobile SG paid in full the second the store was actually working. My ship date is 11/10 - 11/17. I am hoping apple comes through early b.c there is no way that many people got an order in before me.

I’ve said it in other threads and now this just kind of solidified my opinion. T-Mobile allocation of iPhones through Apple.com is lower and has less priority compared to ATT/Verizon/IUP.

Friend used the same method for 256 GB Space Grey T-Mobile with Nov 10-17 estimate as well. Same check out time.
Don’t be mad, the store went live at 3:03 for me in New York and I got email 3:04 and have a delivery date of nov 10-17

Ah! Good looking out. Thank you. I just tried again and paid for it outright rather than payments and it let me do it! The only thing I’m worried about is it doesn’t say in my confirmation email which model I chose (I have Verizon). I’m like 90% sure I chose Verizon but I initially chose Space Gray and the delivery date was in December so I quickly went back and changed it to silver. Hope I chose the right one! Thanks again! 11/10 is way better than 12/5-12/11!

I wonder if all the carrier sites and third parties are as accurate stock wise as Apple. That's crazy Apple would already be at 6 weeks while others are still lingering around launch day.
First time ever a preorder slipped on me. App never came live for me and I had to jump on the web real quick. 11/17-11/24. Sucks but it’s all good and I have my 8+ to hold me over. Not gonna freak out about it. Lol.
I ordered the same exact T-Mobile variant, getting into the app at around 3:04 EST and completing the order in less than a minute (confirmation e-mail is time stamped 3:05). Needless to say, I also got the 11/10-11/17 delivery timeframe. For what it's worth, the status of my order has already changed from "Order Received" to "Order in Progress". Unfortunately, I don't know if there's any significance to the updated status.
Wow, I should've ordered from Best Buy. Finally was able to get into the Apple Store app at 12:05 and my delivery date had slipped to November 10-17 by then.
what a piss off, you would think ordering the phone directly from the company who makes it would be easier/faster. I'm having a hard time understanding how people submitted their orders after me and have a Nov 3rd date, oh well.
Does anyone know in what circumstances/scenarios does Apple ship product earlier than the estimated time? The only 2 orders i ever did online from Apple did not ship early and was right on schedule (i think a day or so late actually).

I believe it could be because each company has their own allocated stock. So since everyone flocked to Apple, the carriers stock was hammered. I ordered from Apple at 3:03AM eastern and got 11/3 for myself. Then I ordered at 9:10am from ATT for my wife and got the same date.
