FWIW, mine and many others sat in this status for 4 to 5 days before moving. Seems that the phones are being manufactured and moved to a staging area prior to shipping out to Alaska via Korea.

Yesterday it was showing today for delivery, then it switched to the 4th, but if it continues to sit there for 4 days there's no way it's going to hit the 4th for delivery.
This was fun for a bit but I hate sitting and seeing things not move from there... I just want my bloody phone! 😭
😂 More bad news, my original date Was 10/6-11, moved up to 9/28, then slipped back to 10/1 (apple store app moved from 10/6-11 to 10/1, so I wouled stick to what it says there)

So far mine is still sitting in China stuck at that Your package has been released... stage for over 24 hours now. I am a bit concerned that those of us with a 10/4 date might be stuck here for a bit. I hope it starts moving sometime today or we run the risk of missing the 10/4 date.
No those two are the customs scan first says its waiting being cleared. Second is package has been released by government agency then at 3:30 it goes to the facility where pallets wait. At 4:00 the pallets are at facility in airport. Next two scans at 9:27 and 10:20 and are some kind of final two step scans wit the later now ready for plane. Now you wait for the departed scan and you know you are flying
This year my experience was the clearing could be fast but final stage at the location of airport pallet storage for plane was taking 4 days. So from things I read getting planes out was a problem in China this year
HA just delivered. Signature not required but he was not going to leave it since he knew it was an iPhone! I was able to speak to him through my ring doorbell and he stashed it around back for me!
I agree with the delay being getting the planes out of China.
The bottleneck at your stage seems to have caused bottlenecks at earlier steps, as mine took 6 days to clear customs and then left China the same afternoon (9/30).
The whole pipeline clogged up waiting to get from China to Incheon (Korea).

I am with you! I don't understand how a company that has been here before and has about $200 billion in cash reserves can't have a system to handle capacity the day orders go live or be able to better predict demand.I had my pre order already to go several days before and was in front of my laptop & iPhone before the start time and their system wouldn't let me in for 5 or 10 minutes. As soon as I got in, it already had me in the 10/6-11 bucket. Of course now their system shows me at the very end (11th) of that bucket. I was hoping UPS would be correct with the 4th. Unless it moves between now and early Saturday, I am guess those of us with an estimated delivery of the 4th will be pushed back. Apple has our money and yet we don't have a new phone.
Can you get in touch with ups and see if you can pick it up at their hub?
I agree with your assessment of them not predicting the demand, especially for the Pro & Pro Max.
China just called. They said they're keeping my iPhone
It missed the flight to my region, so can’t yet pick it up. Once it gets into my region and to my local center, picking it up might save a few hours, but I’m good with waiting for the truck. Thanks, though.

That may be the only direct flight from ZZ to Anchorage this weekend, unless we go the route through Incheon, Korea.
