Yea I was hoping maybe they held some phones back for this type of thing but no such luck. Oh well at least it’s getting sorted out and I’m not having to argue with anyone about it. Apple said it would take 2-3 days to sort out, got thr order update this morning (next day).ugh thats brutal
Especially if the shipments of those phones also have to go through these hoops and loops and take a few extra days to get here!
Wow I don’t know what to say. I got a notification this am that apple was shipping a replacement phone, then about an hour ago I got a notification that I needed to return the phone ups lost. Uhh ok but I didn’t get it. So I call up apple and ask them what gives, she says ok I’ll fix that here in the system. As soon as I hang up the phone I get an “ordered cancelled” email. I Call back, yea you cancelled your order, now I’ve got a contract with Verizon that doesn’t seem to be cancelled, still shows on my Verizon account as owing the monthly payment. Guess I will call Verizon next, can’t believe a phone order has gone this south so quickly ha ha. Don’t think I’ll order from apple again in the future.
All UPS packages from Apple previous to my long awaited ( :😁: ) 13PM, including my wife's launch day 13PM, have had departure and arrival info out of and into every airport along the way, usually posted immediately or within a few hours of any change.
I sincerely doubt they have left ZhengZhou as they've not posted any movement. UPS posts their tracking data for their logistics and that data become our updates on My Choice.
The "government agency" is in China. UPS also reports "government agency" in the USA, but that is under Cleared Customs after the flight from China through Anchorage and on to Louisville. After Customs is the "Import Scan" in Louisville and then "Departed from Facility" when it leaves to go to your local UPS destination.
After writing this I called UPS and my agent confirmed the phone was still in China, and something like, "It should be here any day." That one cracked me up!
Last year's issue was "Exception: Date Tentative" before my launch day 12PM arrived when it was. A bit of angst wondering what was going to happen and then an on-time delivery on that launch Friday. My wife's launch day 13PM arrived as expected last Friday.
Edit: I forgot to mention that UPS My Choice still says my phone will be delivered earlier this afternoon. That's going to be an amazing feat if they pull that off!

How did you find your order? Did you get a tracking number from Apple?
That its still at factory airport site but has not left. They are in pallets scanned and have not moved since the scans and government clearance ect has been done ready to be shipped but not moved after all that. I have same info for 9/25 china time.
This is mine since early Saturday supposedly delivering today never left china just like yours but yours happened yesterday China time.
Looking thru the 9 pages I would say no. Those of us with this later shipping window of 10/6 to 10/11 mostly who got shipping movement in China have seen nothing outside of China and some of our tracking have shown the phone was supposed to arrive today. Wrong no arrival, we area all waiting and more tracking of shipments at ZhengZhou in the past 3 days would seem to me they are piling up but not leaving airport after all scanning of pallets are done.
weird, but definitely feels like a China problem. I'm sure apple and UPS are not happy about whatever is happening.
They probably are not but no one will admit they know what is going on they are putting up a good public face while we have no real tracking data for the past 4 days since our phones started shipping not very cool. I have been talking to apple executive person since I wrote letter about my launch day issues that took me time to get in and then not get a launch day phone. She admitted apple has no idea what is going on pretty much. And left it up to UPS to fix and let us know what is going on in tracking. Those talking to UPS on here and elsewhere feel like UPS is also not telling much to hide the issues they are having which will hurt business I would guess. Not happy with either right now personally
Some of the most recent posts on here are disconcerting for sure. The status of my order is still processing, it has remained unchanged since the 17th. I had hoped Apple would under promise and over deliver with earlier deliveries. Now I am just hopeful the phone arrives within the estimated window. I also wish the same for everyone else... Regardless of how things go in the process, unless I reach Oct 12th with no phone, Apple can, and most likely will meet the expectation they have set. On a side note, I had to visit the Apple store a couple times today, and had some time to play with the phone, first impression was really good, second impression left me feeling this thing is SO similar to my 12 pro max that it is replacing, I can see the newness might wear off quickly, that said, in real world day to day usage, its updates will definitely have some meaningful results... but after seeing it a couple times, waiting patiently is no longer going to be a problem for me, as I basically already have it with my 12 pro max.
I now have a tracking number with estimated delivery from Apple of 10/5.
So, looks like a day early than the start of the delivery window.

My estimate for delivery has been holding fast at Oct. 18 - Oct. 25. I've been hoping for some movement on this date, but now I'm thinking any movement may be in the wrong direction. Still no 13PMs available at retail anywhere. Just to cover my bases I started an order on Apple's website, wondering if I could do any better than my current date. Nope! Oct 28 - Nov. 4 was what came up so I pulled the plug on that brainstorm and went back to refreshing my browser on my current order.
I think I'm lucky that my 11PM is still serving me flawlessly and that my ship date hasn't slipped.

"Probably get it in a day or two" was what the UPS guy said tonight. I didn't have much confidence in that assessment!
I just now have seen an update this morning where instead of telling me I'd get it on Tuesday afternoon, it says to check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date. As it is 1:30am, I'm not sure if that means when i wake up on Wednesday morning, or if I have to wait until Thursday to find out.
The Apple Store app has occasionally said it would deliver on Oct 1, and is again saying that now. But when I tap on that it shows me the Oct 6-11 date.
I got a call from the depot saying they had found my packages and they would be delivered today, my trade in boxes showed up instead.
Agreed. Seems like the UPS rep straight up lied to me yesterday. I have no updates since the 25th from zhengzhou. Apple says its supposed to be here by friday...that seems sketchy. Was looking at flight aware and the plane travel time from China to AK is like 9 hrs.....guess, we'll see if oct 1st dea#line holds true. This whole process has been a disappointment.
Hooray finally my phone has left China (as are others with the same shipping info and stuck in China for several days I would imagine). Currently on leg to Alaska with the common stop off in Korea as of now. See below. Delivery on Thursday now 9/30. I guess they found their planes or whatever the delay was in ZhengZhou.
