if you want to really get your taste buds working, try out this white beer from Canada called Blanche de Chambly by Unibroue, the Unibroue line is one of the most famous Canadian beer lines in the world, but not that popular outside of beer connoisseurs.

Buy from Unibroue just for the name alone.
I like the Fin du Monde a lot and Maudite was pretty good too. Careful, the alcohol sneaks up on you.
So after reading this thread I picked up some Black Sheep this weekend, can't wait for passover to be done...
If you are on the West Coast, the Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon produces some of the very finest English and Scottish Stouts found anywhere in America. They carry the full line-up:
Mirrorpond Pale Ale
Bachelor Bitter, ESB
Inversion India Pale Ale
Cascade Ale
Obsidian Stout
Black Butte Porter
These are truly 'honest ales'. They have less carbonation than most offerings and alcohol range between 5.0% to 7.5% (Porter).
My choice. Or, if unavailable, one of these two (or both!):

Guinness and Corona, both excellent beers. I can only drink Corona if it's got a lime slice in it though.
Samuel Jackson beer.
It's good motherf*cking beer! It'll get you drunk! You'll be f*cking fat chicks in no time!!

I went for a short drive down the road to Faversham the other day, home of Shepherd Neame Brewers and picked up a few bottles of rather nice ale at their merchandise shop.
I love Bishops Finger!
A Shepherd Neame spokesperson said today the ale's advertising campaign was designed to amuse, not offend.
"The campaign is born out of Shepherd Neame's Kentish heritage and evokes the spirit of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. The beer takes its name from finger-shaped signposts, which guided pilgrims on their way to Canterbury."
